OT: A Free Google 411 Number

This was sent to me by my DIL's Mom and I thought I'd share it with my upwardly mobile friends here:

"This is great!

If you don't have "On-Star" or a GPS system, fear not!  Here's something that we can all afford....y'know...F REE!

Google 411

Just leave it up to Google to come up with something like this!!!

Here's a number worth putting in your cell phone, or your home phone speed dial:

1-800-goog411

This is an awesome service from Google, and it's free -- great when you are on the road.

Don't waste your money on information calls and don't waste your time manually dialing the number.

I am driving along in my car and I need to call the golf course and I don't know the number.  I hit the speed dial for information that I have programmed. The voice at the other end says, "City &State."  I say, " Garland , Texas "  He says, "Business, Name or Type of Service."  I say, Firewheel Golf Course."  He says, "Connecting" and Firewheel answers the phone. How great is that?

This is nat ionwide and it is absolutely free!

Click on the link below and watch the short clip for a quick demonstration.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Thanks for this, Laureen, I am putting it now in my phone and Bill's too. This is so handy to have.

Thank you Laureen.  Just a reminder though, it does go towards your cell phone minutes if it is in the day time.  But I still like it.

Oh yes, the minutes on your cell phone are used, however, most cell phone companies charge $1.79 per 411 information call

I know, those charges are ridiculous.  But they have to make their money somewhere I guess.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
