What we are eating and what's eating Us - THURSDAY!

Hello, everyone!

Well what a day..we took LilyRose to the Vet to get neutered...however, they neglected to tell us that she was supposed to FAST for at least twelve hours and I know shew had a little snack about midnight.  I SHOULD have known better.

It was minus eighteen degrees celcius w/o windchill at 7 am this morning and LilyRose spent the entire car ride buried under my long wooly coat and woolen shawl, flattened tight against my chest with her head buried under my armpit!

Okay. I never said she had class...lol..but she WAS terrified and we had to struggle at the Vet's to detach her from me and then, of course, had to rebook her surgery date and endure the scary drive back home, again she was pressed flat under my clothes..if she could get under my SKIN, she would have.

Back home, we soon coaxed her out from underneath the couch and she huddled tight to my thigh so I was "forced" to relax *cough* most of the day, watching TV, reading, drinking hot tea and soothing my furry baby.  It was rough *nods nods nods*

I had to force myself to eat today...nothing looked appealing at all, but I stuck basically with my plan for the day and this is what Rufus and I will have for Thursday:

B  hot choclate Matrix protein drink

S  crackers and cheese

L  home made high protein chicken soup

S  crackers & cheese

D  home made high protein, high fibre chili

S  fruit

So what's YOUR day like?

Hey Nancy!!! I am not so sure about eating much today. I think I may have a stomach thing going on. I did bring in a crock pot full of homemade potato soup to share with everyone at work. I hate cooking and having so many left overs. I am hoping to bring little or none of it home.

I'm 15 months post-op and I've been struggling with grazing and winter emotional eating, so I've decided to try posting here, though somedays my meals are not well planned, figured I'd give it a try:

B:  Weight Control Oatmeal made w/skim milk
S:  Green Apple w/Peanut butter or Clementine
L:  Calves Liver w/onion (some are thinking gross, but keeps my iron levels up and tasty to me)
S:  Not sure, either one of the ones I didn't choose between B and L
D:  Also, not sure, as I won't be going straight home this evening
S:  Popcorn

Lots of water and decaf tea

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning, Nancy and Rufus. I am so sorry for the mix up for LilyRose. I know that is hard to do...traveling with a furbaby who hates to travel. What a trip.

My food yesterday was awful since I had a stomach thing going on and ended up with a lot of problems last night. Nothing to bad but let's put it as a bathroom issue and leave it at that. HMMMM........

I am feeling better today so I think that I might do well.

B: sf oatmeal with 3 T high energy mix
L: slim fast low carb shake and orange
D: meat balls in sauce with cheese and veggies
S: sf rice pudding

I am doing better with food with the exception of yesterday. I am writing it down in a food journal and that seems to be doing well. I never did well doing that before but I am going to take it for what it is doing now. I haven't weighed yet.....I am afraid to. I have battled with this 3-5 pounds so much it is just like the yo yo syndrome again. I hated that before and now I hate it even more. I know that I can do better and now I am! That is the main thing. I can't beat myself up for that stuff I did. I must praise myself for the good things I am doing now.

Have a wonderful day and I am sending love and hugs and prayers and special thoughts for everyone.

Hi everyone

Since I started getting "back on track"  I have been keeping a food journal on fitday.com.  Since I have been getting more sleep and better sleep I have stoped grazing especially at night and I have dropped 5 lbs.  I am hooked on my sleep tape.

B - Quaker old fashioned oatmeal
S- fruit probably KIWI
L- Vegetable soup (leftovers)
S - no sugar added applesauce and protein supplement
D - Quinoa salad
S - don't know.  I look at my day's piechart and if my % aren't where I want them I eat peotein or carb to adjust it.  Never need more fat.  go figure

Have a good one
