Good Morning to all My OFF Family,

Well it was a good day to stay curled up by the fire on Tuesday. Cold and snowy all day.  It is supposed to be down in the 20's tonight so that means that the roads will be terrible tomorrow! I am scheduled to be in the office tomorrow morning around 10 am.  It depends on the road conditions around here whether I will be on time or not.  I just don't forsee a great deal of real estate business tomorrow with the shape of the market and a storm! LOL

I have finally officially lost 50 lbs forever! Yeah me!  It did not seem like I would ever get there.  Now I need to work on the next 25 lbs.  Gotta get back into the exercise thing.  It is just so cold.

DH's job is not looking secure right now.  The contractor is not getting his money from the builder and they have laid him off for the next three days.  I guess they are trying to get their money so they can pay their workers. I understand that the fellow building the plant owe millions to his sub contractors.  Oh well keep him in your prayers that if this job is not the one meant for him that another door will open that will be the perfect job for him.

Okay, I guess I have rambled long enough. I pray that each of you will have a great day today and God will bless you each and everyone.

Hugs,

Good morning Vera et al,

Congrats on the 50 lbs.

Prayers for the hubby.

Yesterday was pretty good for me.  I went to my season ticket holder luncheon for the Rangers.  Mary got Nolan Ryan's autograph at the end.  We brought a ball with us just in case.  Her's was the only one he signed.

I am so ready for the season to start.  I printed up a bunch of fantasy baseball rankings during the night.  Gotta get ready for that season too.

Today, Mary and I are going for a casting call for a TV commercial for the hospital that we had our WLS at.  The actual commercial will be filmed on Feb 19 and 20.  So we will know quickly whether or not we are chosen.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Morning Vera & OFFr's,

Prayers for your hubby and congrats on the 50 lbs. lost, it's so exciting!

I've been a bit off track lately and yesterday I finally got back to the business of doing what I'm supposed to be doing, though due to the presidential inaugaration, I did not log my food, so today I am committed to writing everything that crosses these lips, because while I want to have lost my weight forever, I know that the truth is, I can regain it and I need to stay vigilant.

I hope Carla is doing well and she is in my thoughts and prayers, as are all my OFFr's going through any challenges,

Have a good day and hope you are all warm, Nettie, hope your furnace is up and running, I can't imagine living where you do and not having heat and ho****er (brrrrrrr)!

Hugs, Laureen

Laureen,

Thanks for your post on the other thread...You can do it! It is soooo easy for me to just go La La La La and get off of track...I do understand what you are saying....I reminded my self that I was doing what I usually do "oh, it's just 1 or 2 lbs" then or "3 or 4, that's OK I'm still not to thus and so" and then there I go back on that track! So...this time, has never happened in the history of Cherylkind, I pulled my self up and said "What do you think you are doing?!" "Get your butt in gear, you love those jeans and you love your new life, knock it off!" I have been planning out my snacks and stopping when I am full ( what a concept) and it's working! OMG!
We can do this. Thank you for your post, we are only 1 day apart in our WLS. By the way, I was only "at goal" for a day. My new goal is to stay  at the weight I stayed the lowest at without killing myself. If it goes lower fine, if not, fine. I just am happy to know that I do have the power to stop the usual pattern...
You are always such an inspiration...and you look just gorgeous!
Take Care,
Cheryl

Ahh heat and ho****er

Thanks for thinking about me Laureen. It was miserable.

The work crew returns today for some adjustments, installing a new thermostat, and I can't recall what else. It doesn't matter because I HAVE HEAT!!!

Kisses

Thank goodness, Annette. I was getting cold fingers and the shivers just reading about our little Annette freezing in her house. I hate being cold, you poor girl. I hope you are thawed all out now and that the heat stays on. My Tom bought me this cool little portable heater I can carry with me...he has also been keeping our wood stove going...he is so good to me.

Warm hugs to you,
Cheryl

Cheryl,

Thank you. It is painful to be cold now. When I weighed 320 lbs, I kept the thermostat as low as it would go, wore shorts and sandals all Winter long, and was still hot. If we had a wood stove I'd probably SIT on the thing.

Yeah ... we kind of like our Tom's.

Good Morning Vera and all,

It's really hard getting out of bed and dragging myself to work without Brenda.  I try to be quiet not to wake her, but that's hard for me.  I'm so used to doing everything with her, even driving to work, that it's hard to get used to.  Hopefully she'll get better soon and we'll be back to normal.  She's still having lots of problems eating.  She's having a harder time with this than she did when we had WLS.  We're going to support group tonight and hopefully the nutritionist can give her some suggestions.  She's already lost 8 pounds, which she doesn't need to lose.

I'm really tired of this cold weather, as most of you probably are too.  So glad to see that Annette has her new furnace and has some heat again.

For some reason, our hot tub has been leaking.  Trying to get a repairman out has been a real ordeal.  Can't believe a big company like ThermoSpas doesn't have a repairman in Indiana.  It's not like we're in a small podunk town....this is Indianapolis.  The last time, one had to travel from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  They're supposed to call me back today to let me know what they're going to do.  Guy I talked to last night said there was a technician about 150 miles away.  OK  send him out then.  Afterall, I don't pay the mileage, just the service call.  LOL

Well, I better get some work done.  Hope everyone has a nice day!
