What we are eating and what's eating-MONDAY!
Well, here it is, already Monday...is it my imagination or do Saturdays and Sundays truly have fewer hours?
After a whole week of being sick with sinus and strep throat, Ive gotten rather cosy here in my warm nest, but Monday means that I have to go out. There's a SALE at "Office Depot" and they have the very portable hard drive for my computer that I need, at considerable savings, so I have NO choice.
I transfer all of my Mandala Colouring Books onto a portable hard-drive to take them to be printed. However, the portable hard-drives that I have only hold two books each and I now have six books complete and working on seven more themes. So now I need a greater capacity to carry all of my Mandala books in one hard-drive. And so I'm off to the big city this afternoon.
But the first thing Im doing will be to call the veteranarian ...LilyRose has gone back into "season" and is driving me batty..or should I say ..BATTIER..she is only four months old so I wasnt expecting this yet...silly me! Time to be neutered as soon as she quiets down again. Then I will spend several hours creating new mandalas and finding appropriate inspirational quotes for each one....setting each book up, page by page, sizing, numbering, balancing..all small details but time-consuming.
And tonight is my weekly Mind for Success group meeting, 7pm til 11pm. On the way up there, I will stop in to visit Mother and bring her homemade soup and reading material.
Since my day is challenging, I have planned my menu carefully in order to get in that protein. This is what Rufus gets today:
B hot chocolate Matrix protein drink w/ skim milk
S cheese & crackers
L homemade beef and bean soup
S waxed Baby Gouda cheese rounds (they travel well)
D homemade chilli
S tangerine/banana
What are YOUR challenges today? How will you face them?

B - Kashi Go Lean, cottage cheese, blackberries

S - apple & peanut butter. It is the same jar I have been using so it must be safe. This salmonella issue is making my daily snack tricky. I am not going to buy a new jar of PB until it is deemed safe.

I had a fill in my band last Monday and am experiencing a delayed response to it (happens that way sometimes), so every meal is an adventure right now.
I'm going out in the cold this morning to attend an aerobics class and run errands.
B: oatmeal w/ PB2 and low-sugar strawberry preserves (It's not going down too well - I may
have to give up on it)
S: iced skinny latte

S: Babybel light cheese
D: curried cranberry chicken salad, lima bean salad
S: SF banana fudge pudding

I better get to movin'. I am getting hungry and so I think that breakfast is in order. I am making more of an effort to get on track and stick with it. That is the important part~sticking with it. I can start it alright and then the sticking with it is the hard part.

Trying to keep the calorie count down while getting the nutrients I need. I'm really struggling with this new set of issues. My blood sugars keep dropping way below normal. Balancing the protein/carb ratio and losing weight has become quite a issue.
When I follow the food plan I drop. When I eat what I think I need I gain. At this point my concern is the blood sugars. The Dr has me going to a specialist so we shall see what tests they run and find out the cause...... Aaarrrggghhh.

2ndB cream of wheat (whole wheat)
1st L veggies w/meat
2nd L repeat of 1st

HAVE A GREAT DAY..... Look for opportunities to smile at others....
