What we are eating and what's eating us-SUNDAY
Well, first I must say that my heart goes out to Linda..she is a strong beautiful lady and right now she needs to turn within and I respect that and support her in any way that I can.
And in doing so, I will continue Linda's daily post of What we are eating and what's eating us
until she is ready to resume writing. Linda, we are all here for you, cheering you on!
This post is late because we lost out phone line Friday afternoon and it JUST got fixed today at 5pm...
Today, being so cold, Rufus( my pouch) and I are craving "comfort foods". So I made a huge crockpot of home-made beans with lots of lean ground beef and homemade sugar-free tomato sauce and chili sauce too. Nice and hearty, stick-to-your-ribs kinda food. I made it with Splenda brown sugar, mustard and even some molasses (but sparingly) for the flavour. Baked beans are HIGH in PROTEIN and FIBRE.

B protein shake w/ skim milk
S cheese & 3 crackers
L homemade turkey soup
S cheese & 3 crackers

Ahh yes, comfort foods. Right now my comfort food is coffee. Kind of a weird choice because I never drank more than a cup a day before WLS. Now it seems to calm me down.
B - cottage cheese, Kashi Go Lean, blackberries
S - green beans with melted cheese
L - salad with deli ham
D - chicken & peas
S - pumpkin & SF cheesecake pudding

Sundays kind of get me off my eating schedule. I had a cup of Decaf w/caramel&vanilla coffee mate, then to church at 10:45 so did not eat breakfast. I did get in 12 oz of water though with the coffee and the water I drank with my pills.
L. 2 oz. chicken breast 2 bites of potato (we ate out after church)
S. 2 tsp salsa
D. 2 oz. tenderized beefsteak, 1 tblsp corn
S. Apple slices, maybe
Temperature wise, it was 33* above today and "balmy". tee hee
