What's New Sunday?
Good Afternoon, Annette,
I just got back from the grocery store. I went to Albertsons and got get thsi Sirloin steaks buy one get 2 free. So I ended up with 12 steaks to put in my not much bigger than a cabinet freezer.
I go to Albertsons for the loss leaders. I ususally dont shop there because it is a rather fishy smelling store.
Then went to the little whole organic store near my house and got some crackle bread and chips and brie cheese.
Now I am home trying to down load pictures to Facebook and it wont let me.
Pitt is on her chair vegging out and Tevia is with his daddy.
Now I am beat. so a nap is in tall order.
Carla Just waiting for Tuesday. It will be downhill or should I say up hill from there.

Hi Annette and my OFF family:
We're having a heat wave ... it's 22 today and no wind, but it is snowing again. Don't know how much we had last night, but it snowed all day, and it's been snowing on and off all morning. The sun did peek out for a few minutes this morning but not for long.
Mom called this morning with an update about Aunt Bernice. She doesn't appear long for this world. She had surgery today (or yesterday, can't remember which) and they removed a tumor from her stomach. Plus, she has congestive heart failure. Mom says the best thing for her would be to go to sleep and not wake up. I think Aunt Bernice wants that, too. She has been wanting that for awhile. She's 90, has a lot of pain from arthritis and other ills. At Easter, she said she wanted to die, she was in so much pain she couldn't sleep. She doesn't want to eat (although she did like the protein balls I gave her at Christmas); she doesn't understand what time of year it is anymore (at Christmas, she thought it was Easter). I hope she can go peacefully very soon. She has lived a good life; when she was 60, doctors removed a grapefruit-sized tumor from her ovaries (and ovarian cancer is usually fatal; how long she had it, who knows? Doctors weren't listening to her symptoms very well.) So she lasted 30 years longer than she should have. She's a feisty old lady and I love her; she loves to tell my mom off. To hear the two of them go at it, you'd think they didn't love each other, but they love each other more than most sisters do. My mom says the moment they met, they click and have been the best of friends every since (she's my dad's only sister). When she goes, my mom is the only one left from her generation.
My knee has been acting up the past couple days. It was OK yesterday morning, but then after I did my exercises, I started getting sharp pains in the center of the knee; today, I have sharp pains toward the right center of the knee. I go to outpatient PT tomorrow, so I'll bring this up. I know it's not going to be pain-free overnight, but I hate to be so dependent on painkillers all the time.
I'm almost finished with another book ("World Without End" by Ken Follett,) so I'll start a new one tonight. I am so far behind in reading my Time and Sports Illustrated it's not funny ... I'm still in December! I just can't get into reading them for some reason.
Oh, the big news in my newspaper this morning is some of the cutbacks the paper made after the first of the year have been restored ... our features section is coming back this week on Monday and Tuesday. I guess there were a lot of complaints. This happened a couple of years ago when they cut out the TV book ... a lot of complaints made them bring it back. I wondered what other complaints there were. I know a lot of people liked the big briefs package page (that I do) but don't know if cutting that page caused a lot of complaints. It's tough knowing what's going on while I'm sitting here at home.
Well, I've got a date with a couple of football games today. So not much going on otherwise. Need to make some more turkey rollups and protein balls ... I've been eating too much crap ... mostly late at night, which isn't good. Don't know why ... I never was much of a late-night eater (other than when I work), but lately I've been doing here every night. I've got to stop doing that! Sometimes, it's good crap, like the turkey rollups, but other times it's not. I haven't gained weight yet, but I don't want to.
Have a good day. Stay warm and dry.
