Just to say hi and thanks!

Dear OFF family, thank all y'all for your concern.  I had another nose bleed yesterday and called the ENT.  Have an appt on the 26th.  I'm finally sufficiently concerned/worried.  DUH, it took long enough!

George called me at work yesterday about 2:30 to say he was home safe and sound.  He shot 3 deer, his friend got 1.  Someone had asked about the limit.  Where he and his friend were hunting, the limit is 2 per day.  You'd think with 3 deer, we'd be set for venison for years - not so.  The owners of the property where they were hunting asked that they not shoot the trophy bucks, so the ones they got were not that big 75 - 95 lbs.  By the time you get them all cleaned up (sparing you the details), the yield is not so much.

This morning we headed out west to visit daughter, SIL, and Gabe.  Arrived around noon, lunch at 2:00.  Enjoying Gabe's antics - running around like a nut!  The boy is hyped up on sugar after birthday cake and ice cream.  We walked over to a nearby park so he could play with his rocket launcher, a foam thinging that shoots rockets up in the air about 30 feet.

I'd better get off the 'puter and rejoin the family.  Time with Gabe is precious!

later, love Debbie

I hope everything will be ok.

Do you ever get trail bologna made from the venison? That is really good. Mom used to fix venison roast in the crock pot. It was really good.

Please enlighten me.  I've never heard of trail bologna, what is it?  Crock pot venison is the way to do it, unless it's backstrap, then it's pan fried in a little olive oil-butter mix and sprinkled with freshly chopped garlic.

I'm so glad to hear you are seeing the doctor about the nose bleeds, Debbie!

I hope it turns out to be nothing but take care of YOU.  Be sure to tell the doctor you recently traveled outside the country.  You never know what information might be important.  I always have dry nose whenever I fly but you've been home for a while now.......

You might try eating some Cheesy Mushrooms and see if they help......

Keep us posted for sure!

Hugs,

Kathi

Kathi, I was sitting down making a list of things to tell the doc, and that was one I thought of, along with a list of meds, vitamins, and a few other complaints that may or may not be related to this mess.

GOOD! It is a relief to know you are getting this checked by a specialist.

Debbie...hope they can help you with the nose bleeds!!!

I had a nose bleed that lasted over a week. They tried to cauterize it twice. It was packed and packed over and over. Nothing helped until they finally did surgery. It was awful!!!

Hugs....connie d
