What's new Friday?

Morning all,

Well, I feel guilty telling y'all it's going to be a balmy 32* today here in Central AR. Unusual for us, but I'm sure lots of you would welcome it. Margo, sorry you have to be out in it. Annette, hope you bundle up, honey!  Hope everyone can stay warm and safe in this deep freeze.

Our Miss AR left yesterday for the Miss America pageant but couldn't take the gift bags with her, too much stuff of her own. So, we had to ship them to Vegas to the tune of $100....ouch!  Oh well, we know they'll get there in time for her to start giving them out before the competition starts on Monday.

Not much else going on in our corner of the world. Gotta get ready for work. Again, only one client today. Next week is shaping up to be busier.

I was bundled so well I looked like the Pillsbury Dough Boy and just as warm.

I had to laugh at the Pillsbury Dough Boy refrence.....made me think of the days when I looked like the Michelin Man!!!  I don't know about you, but I'd rather have the choice of looking like that instead of it being a way of life.

Autograph?  You know, I think of Mary Kay and the pink Cadillacs. I'll be happy if I can buy a white Huyndai someday. Thanks for your continued support. Hope all is well in your world today.

I am waiting for 9am to arrive so I can call the Oncologist and get this ball rolling.

It's nice to see  you back here!  You've been missed.

Like most places, it's cold here this morning.  The dogs go outside and run straight back to the door to be let it.  I don't blame them a bit.  I feel sorry for all the animals that people don't care enough about that have to "live" through this.  Boy, talk about cruelty!
Anyhoo  -  I'm off to work in a couple of minutes to teach a computer lab  to some very keen students, so it should be fun.

morning margo!!!! and OFF family!!!

C C C CRIPES its COLD!!!!! BRRRRRRRR!!!!! took bandit out and he went really fast and back inside...then had to take rick to work and noticed that my gas gauge was in the red so had to get gas then....OMG i about froze out there!!! i was dressed warm too and man i thought my hands were gonna fall off!! they hurt so bad i about cried!! and i had my snowmobile gloves on too!!!! my feet and legs are still cold and its been over an hour and a half ago i did this!!! hate the thought of going outside again to go to work!!! temp is -9 and wind chill is -27 last i saw....i sure feel for those that are in colder temps!!!!!! and please bring in your animals if at all possible!!!! if not keep a light on them or something to help them keep warm!!!! hate to see they froze to death!!!

have to work til 9 tonight so not much going to happen after that....have to be to work at 8 tomorrow morning but i do get out at 3:30 so i guess we can go to grocery store after that. sure not going out any more than i have to today!!!! BRRRRR

i am sure you all have heard about that plane going down in the hudson river yesterday...so glad all are safe and nobody killed!!! amazing landing and rescue!!!

am hoping today i can corner HR woman and talk about my hours again!!! am so tired of this working every weekend!!! when i was first interviewed i told her i didn't mind working SOME weekends...well its been every weekend since i started except for the 2 weekends i needed off to go back to michigan!!! i just want to get the point across to this woman so she schedules the other girls for the weekends and not me all the time!!! i know i should be happy i have a full time job but dam i do have a life outside of work...or atleast trying to have one!!!

annette i also am wearing my flannel nighties to bed in this weather!!! also wearing my robe and socks and slippers!!!! i am COLD!!!!! furnace is cranked way up also!!!! BRRRRRR

margo do you have to do this shredding today in this cold weather??? if not please put it off for another day!!!!

ok have brain freeze or crs which ever you want to call it....lol can't remember again who all i wanted to comment to....hate when this happens!!!!

so i guess i will shut my trap and get under the covers to get warm....already had 2 cups of hot tea and it really didn't thaw me out yet!!!! hope you all stay nice and warm or atleast try too!!! those in warmer temps...thank your lucky stars!!!!

Good Morning All-It's a "balmy" minus 3 this morning...much better than the 37 below yesterday and by Sunday the weathermen are saying 40+ above!!  I have a local Dr. appt this afternoon and will also drop off some boxes of my Sizes 2X and 3x's at the local good will.  I'm still fighting a stubborn head cold but it is getting better.

Good to see you, Margo.  Sorry you have to shred in the "freezer" but I know you'll just "grin" and bear it.

Still home from work today with hubby so sick.  Dr. called yesterday to ask if he was at least 5 percent better and he is.  I have to return to work next week so he must improve this weekend.  He has no choice.

Today is the day I will dig in and get some cleaning done around here.  I hope hubby is well enough to sit on the patio so I can vacuum.  Haven't wanted to kick the dust up while his breathing has been so bad but I can't stand it any longer (I don't think!).

Don't want to tell you our weather is absolutely perfect because so many of you have unbearable weather.  I've been walking each day this week but so far no show on the scales.  Oh well......

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

Good to see you again, Margo. Many of us have missed you; sorry you have gotten negative e-mails. It's too bad we can't all respect each other.

Here's the weather report from West Michigan: 6 degrees, feels like -5, there are some snow flurries, but nothing like yesterday, when it snowed all day. I plan to get out to the store, chiropractor, etc., today. I've already showered so my body can dry out and warm up. I get out of the shower and I'm so cold. I'm sitting here drinking coffee to warm up. It'll be good to get out, even though it's so cold.

I'm just bored sitting at home. I go to bed at 8 and watch TV in bed because I want a change of scenery. The cats pile around me in bed and keep me warm. Turns out the electric fireplace isn't such a energy-saver after all. My electric bill skyrocketed the past two months, and the only thing I can think of that I was using a lot was the fireplace. It is supposed to only use the electricity of a coffee pot ... well, obviously not. My electric bill was like a summer bill with the air conditioning on. I'm wondering if I should use it as often as I do. I only have it on when I'm awake and at home. I didn't notice this last winter, but then I was on budget plan last winter. It's like I'm paying extra with the heating bill plus the electric bill.

Well, I need to get something off to work HR ... I wanted to fax it but my fax program was taken off last year when I upgraded my computer, so if I want to use that, I have to put it back on. I'm going to try to e-mail it instead. And then I'm going to mail it, too. My hair is almost dry so I can consider going out in the frigid air.

Hope everyone can stay warm and healthy.  I'm freezing here in the office with thermal undies on and the heater on under my desk.  Headache gone, nose bleed stopped!
