What's new Friday?
my profile is still where it always was and i have never blocked anyone...nuff said.
it's -15* and i have to stand in the garage at work again for a few hours to shred documents-have been all week-makes for frozen toesen!
talk amongst yourselves........enjoy your weekend!
hugs and prayers......
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, It's good to hear from you. (Is this font size ok? I hate having to change it each day and don't know how to make it a permanent change) It looks ok to me, but thought I'd ask!
We've had freezing fog the past two days. At least when it's foggy the wind doesn't blow for some reason.
We've been making progress on getting a bunch of "little" things done around here. Bits and pieces of things that weren't quite right. And one big thing. Finally got the humidifier added to the heat system yesterday. It is so dry here in the winter! I scratch and itch and itch and scratch. Sure hope it helps. I like the dry climate in many ways but in the winter with the heat on it is just too much.
We decided to go ahead and finish the downstairs bathroom and carpet the living area down there. Just doing a basic toilet, sink, mirror thing. Leaving the end area which is plumbed for a shower for "later." (if ever) Figure if anyone sleeps down there it would be nice to have the "basics" but they can shower upstairs.
Tomorrow we're headed to Erin's for a "baby fix." Haven't seen them in 3 weeks. That seems to be about our limit. They are a 5 hour drive away. So thankful they aren't across country or farther.
I've been walking 4+ miles a day in two different sessions with my new neighbor. We're enjoying getting to know each other.
I've been reading Linda B's "insomnia" posts with interest. Also someone posted problems with Tylenol PM which I have been taking nightly to help me sleep. So I'm going to try just the Benedryl 25mg when I need something. Prescription sleep aides just give me crazy dreams. I use instrumental music to help me sleep. The walking seems to be helping. I'm try to stay up later (9pm versus about 7!) by staying busy. Last night I went to bed at 9pm; just got up at 2:30am to potty and let Maggie out. Playing on the computer for a bit and will try to get another 3 hours. That would be a really good night for me. Nancy B and Linda both have CDs or tapes they listen to. I'm looking into some of those. I have about 20 different instrumental CDs that I rotate through. They seem to help, but I never get into that deep REM sleep where you recall dreams.
Enough of me. You all try to stay warm. I can tell in the afternoons that the days are getting a bit warmer. Also a flower/seed catalog arrived! There is hope that spring WILL come again! Can't be soon enough for me.
Positive thoughts coming your way. Healing vibes going out to those who need them. Take care.

I googled Delta wave relaxation and got a lot of sites. One interesting one that I am still investigating is Brain sync. From what I have read the Brain has four types of waves.
Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Theta. The Delta waves are the sleep inducing ones. The Theta waves are the subconscious ones that allow you to rescript all those negative messages we learned throughout our lives. The tape I have is music infused with Delta wave "stuff". This web site has CDs with Delta waves but also CD with Theta that include subliminal messages, There are CDs for sleep, weight loss, memory enhancement, to stop smoking, and many others. I plan to read more and then maybe try some of these.
I knew that tylenol was bad for the liver. Didn't think about it when everyone was posting about using Tylenol pm . My doctors all ask about tylenol usuage since I can't take anti-inflamatories. I tell them I don't use tylenol very often and they always say if that changes to let them know so they can do a liver panel along with my other regular lab work. So, please be careful with tylenol use.

Cold here too. Before WLS I dreamed of wearing sexy little nighties. HA!!!! Now I get all bundled up in flannel jammies, socks and extra thermals - not very sexy but oh so warm.
I went to visit a new post-op from the support group. That is such a nice experience to walk in and see the smile of relief. No matter how often we tell people it isn't all that bad, they are still surprised.
Busy day ahead and then it is the weekend! About time.

I sure don't think I would like to do what you are going to be doing at work this morning. It isn't fit for man nor beast. At least it sure isn't here. Judging from you post it is a tiny bit warmer where you are. Not by much though.
It is -19 here with a wind chill of -39. Anyway you look at it that is just plain cold! You can't fight that one. It is suppose to be 26 tomorrow morning and boy am I looking forward to that one! Of course we are going to get another snow with at least a couple of inches but that is better than the brutal stuff that we have been having.
Nothing happening here today. I am just staying put and doing some more housework and such. Nothing much but there isn't a lot to do here since I have not left this place since Monday. This makes for a loooooong week let me tell ya! Just another day of it and then I will be able to be out and about again.
Bill is on his way to work for his last, or at least he hopes it is, morning. He is truly a afternoon worker. He loves that shift even though I love it when he works days. We actually have family time when he works days. We sit and watch television and can have dinner like a real family. I love that the most. But then he is not a morning person nor will he ever be. Even though I can't bet on that. I use to be a night person and now look at me. I am a morning person now even though I have no where to go, I still get up so early. Heck it is earlier than when I use to work days. Now that is early! Go figure. It just goes to show you, you never know what is going to happen in the future.
I guess I will get going. I am leading such a boring life even I can't wait until I can get out in the real world! That is pretty bad. I am hoping that everyone stays warm and toasty today wherever you are at. Keep smiles on your faces no matter what happens and it may warm someones heart. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers and good thoughts. Please stay safe and watch the bitter cold that is going on in most of the country.

Good Friday morning to everybody.
I am only working half a day today. My brother and SIL are coming for the weekend, so I need some time to get the house cleaned up, plus I need a break from work.
It is 10 degrees here this morning and it is snowing. But they say we should only get around an inch. When I looked out it looked like there was already an inch. But the streets will be slick this morning as I go to work. Will need to watch out for the crazy drivers.
Not much going on for me, I have just been pretty busy at work. I do have Monday off which will be nice.
Take care everybody and have a wonderful weekend.
Mickey
I am very pleased to see your post this morning and to reassure you that you have been very missed!
I have to bundle up and go to the office this morning. OOH>>>>>>>>
I have a haircut appointment this afternoon and then have a visit to a nursing home to make. An alsheimer patient hasn't really eaten in about a month. The prognosis is not good. Please keep this family in your prayers.
I am hoping to FINALLY get the Christmas tree put away tomorrow!!!!!
Hope you all can stay warm and that it will be a good day for you.

Had a really bad nite.....had fixed some tender and delicious venison steak for supper and thought I had chewed it well, but obviously didn't, so was extremely sick several times and once in the night....feel kinda like a wet dishrag this morning, but I'll survive.
It's Friday and payday to boot, so that's good.
Good to see you back posting Margo....
Have a blessed day and a warmer weekend all,

Done! Your Ticker:
I don't have a clue what has been going on that would make you lurk, but I think sometimes, the diversity of all our backgrounds makes us lock horns for sure. YOU are an important part of this board and as you can see very well loved by the many. There is an expression that I heard many years ago and here it goes, if my memory serves me right. . .
Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!
Love you!
Anyway, it's Friday, I have a DDS appointment to do the next to last stage of my implant process and a cleaning, aren't I lucky. After that I am going to the paint store to pick out swatches for the colors I will want to paint my new home space, after that I will go home and my friend Owen will be dropping some paint supplies that he has as he just painted his whole house and has lots of stuff to give me so as to save me money and then my g/f from Fort Lee is coming down to hang out with me, we haven't seen each other in months because of the busy ness that is my life.
That's my day and it will be busy, but since there is some socialization involved I am very happy!
For all those facing challenges (Carla for one), my prayers and positive thoughts are with you today!
Hugs, Laureen

Nice to see you back Margo!
Another dull day here in paradise. Not working again until Monday so today will be spent sipping, resting, knitting and reading. Perhaps a bit of PPI computer work. I did venture to the drug store for vitamins and to Krogers for a few things. Was whipped when I came home so took a nap while the soup I was making bubbled over a tad onto the stove. Oh well, it cleaned up more or less. I could be beading, and perhaps I will or I could be basket weaving, too much mess to pick up from that to do right now. Plus that room does not have a good vent going into it so it's chilly in there. I think knitting has it. I go back to work Monday and actually look forward to it. Eileen called me on Wednesday and last evening I called Aime who is doing ok! It was so nice to talk to them both.
Lilith (the black feral kitty) and Lukas the new kitty are playing pawsy under the door. The ferals and Lukas have not been together except via the crack under the door yet. Lukas needs his shots and to get fixed. Speaking of that, guess I will contact the person in charge of that again today and see when we can get it done.
Guess I can stop rambling on now. you all take care and have a good day! BRRRR it is cold in here!
