It's warming up Friday
It is 22 below this morning---an improvement frpm yesterday. it's sppose to get up to 9 degrees above zero with 25 mile per hour winds. I am on day 16 of my quittong smoking. It looks like I am going to make it this time---time will tell. If I want this surgery I have to quit and quit for good. I hope everybody has a great day! Nancy
Thank you Nancy. You make 28 degrees feel not so bad. I lived in upstate NY for 3 years and Alaska for 1 year. I don't miss the cold, but I sure miss the snow. I LOVED snow. Couldn't ski or anything, I just loved the serenity of it. Especially after it has fallen all night long and nothing has touched it. We lived on base in Plattsburgh AFB, NY. Our back yard opened up to a field that was over 100 yards. It looked BEAUTIFUL after a fresh snowfall.
Keep it up with the ciggies. You can do it. Keep your eye on the prize.
May have to take the dog to the vet again. Cut himself again. we can't figure out where he does it. This time it just peeled a layer of skin off, does not seem to have impaled him. We are thinking it might be our nightstand as you leave the bedroom, because when he jumps off the bed he sometimes gets close to it. So this weekend we will rearrange the bedroom. Thanks Flyte. Hope he is okay. Mary said he has been pacing and whining for a couple of hours before he finally laid down.
Gonna work some OT tonight. Saturday is a Stars game, then a surprise birthday party for my DIL. My son decided this last night. Love his advance notice.
Sunday will be cooking and rearranging the bedroom. And here I thought I was going to be able to rest. Silly me.
Need to watch some of my DVR'd shows.
Anyone else watch Leverage? Decent show. The Closer starts back the end of the month.
Enough babbling. Can you tell I finished reading my book and have nothing to do.

It is one cold morning here. It is -19 with a wind chill of -39. I just got Bill off to work for his final (he is hoping) morning. He loves his afternoons and there is no way about that. I worry about him while he is out in the brutal cold. The wind chill factors have a warning on them until noon today. I guess it is going to start warming up tomorrow with the high of 26!!! Hooray! I never ever thought that I would jump up and down for joy with that temperature! But I am and I am grateful. Please, everyone that is in this garbage, stay safe and keep as warm as you can.
Nothing happening here today. I am staying home yet another day. I just can't bring myself to go out there. I will be staying put and doing things around here. Nothing great but just some housework and other stuff I need to get caught up on.
I will be moving on now since I have no life and what I do have is so boring that you would all be yawning and snoozing if I kept on. I am sending love and hugs to all with prayers and good thoughts. Stay warm wherever you are. It is easier said than done if you ask me. Don't forget to smile and warm someone else's heart today.

You are doing a great job! Keep on going with giving up the cigarettes. That is one thing I am glad I didn't get addicted to. My daughter is very addicted (started at 14 and is now 28) She wants to have another baby, but just can't give them up. She is an RN and knows the dangers. It is a powerful addiction.

nancy glad that you are doing so well giving up the smokes!!! wish rick would!! last night he told me my stinky farts were so bad...lol tmi sorry... well i told him he stinks up the place with his smoking!!!! i can't help it if i have gas its a part of WLS i told him...he can stop smoking and not stink up everything!!! he thinks my gas lingers forever...like his smoke doesn't??? sighs...

george sorry about your dog getting cut and is hurting!!! but its a good idea moving the furniture if thats what is causing it.
