Bought an outfit today

Today I had to make a quick stop at the mall today to get DD a swim cap for gym class.

We are going on cruise next month and all my shorts from last summer are way too big. So, I had a few extra minutes so I stopped into Sears. I found a pair of white jeans with a matching jeans jacket. YES,WHITE. I took a pair of size 14 jean and an XL jacket into the dressing room. After running in and out of the dressing room so many times for different sizes you'll never guess what size I ended up wearing.......................................

Size 8 jeans and a size SMALL jacket   Guess who was doing a happy dance in the dressing room??? Since I was in a hurry I only un-buttoned 3 buttons and pulled it over my head. A size small buttoned up WOW.  I almost bought  the size medium jacket because I just felt weird buying a small.  And to make it even better each piece was on sale!  I have gone from a tight 24/26 jeans and size 3x.

Just wanted to share my WOW moment.

Thanks it was a special moment. I can't wait to tell my husband when he gets home from work. My DH really don't understand the ladies clothes sizes, but then again do we? He always tells me how proud he is of me. I told my DS when he came home from school and he said, "see Mom, that's why I'm proud of you". He's such a sweetheart. 
I think DD who is only 12 is getting nervous that we may end up wearing the same size someday. She's already only 2 inches shorter than me. She does weight a lot less but I"M STILL LOSING !

Mary-That is FANTASTIC!!  I had surgery in November and have lost 48.8 pounds and have spent the last couple of days clearing out my dresser drawers and closets of my Size 3X clothes and finding size 16's and size Large or XLg and having them fit.  So I know how fun it can be and I have about 55 pounds left to lose.  I figured I would get rid of all the summer stuff as hopefully I'll be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down by then.  You are going to enjoy that cruise so much being a "Skinny Minny".  Several years ago, DH and I went on a Carribean Cruise on the Song of America (Royal Carribean Lines) and I was much younger and thinner and I look at those pictures and can't believe how I could've gained all this weight~~~~but who knows maybe hubby will decide to book another cruise for this time next year.  I can dream can't I?  So happy for you!!

 Good for you Mary. Parade around in that SIZE 8 for your hubby. He may not know sizes but he knows when his wife is looking SUPER.

Are you considering going to NYC for Laureens get together in October? Lora and I would love to see you again. Hopefully it will be the second weekend. Lora pointed out to me that our high school Homecoming is usually the first weekend in October.
