sleep issue revisited
A week or so ago I posted that I had severe sleep issues. It seems many of us do. I mentioned that I was going to go to a hypnotist in a last ditch effort to sleep. I am not sure if he did any good as far as sleep is concerned. He did however get rid of my head hunger and grazing problem. I am listening to a tape each morning that addresses that issue.
However, Monday I went to Best Buy and I found a CD produced by the Relaxation Company. It is entitled Peaceful......Music for sleep. On the left edge it also reads....Dela Sleep Solution. The discription on the front reads:.Dr. Jeffrey Thompson's clinically proven musical system helps you fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling rested and refreshed. Meditative melodies, flutes, piano, guitar and strings, embedded with Delta Wave Pulses irresistibly lull you to sleep.
Peaceful is one of several title he offers. There is also Ambient, Classical, Dreamy, Natural, Soothing, and The Ultimate. All or for sleep except the last on says NAP CD. Peaceful was the only one Best Buy had and they only had one copy of it. I listened to it Monday night. Woke up once to go potty then again at 6:30 in the morning again bladder call and was awake for the day.
Last night I read until midnight, made sure I went to the bathroom before I turned out the light and slept until dh left at 6:30. I woke up a couple of times but just turned the CD back on and went right back to sleep. I consider that sleeping through the night. I might just get this thing licked. I paid $11.88 for the tape, it has no side effects, and doesn't leave me groggy. There is a web site but I haven't had time to visit it, so don't know what is there. It is www.The Relaxation Company.com I will check it out later. Hope this helps any of you that are pulling your hair out trying to sleep.
Be careful with the Tylenol PM. I was taking only 1/2 of one almost every night to help me sleep. It worked great. Fast forward..........I had some blood work done and my liver functions are VERY high. The first thing my doctor said was STOP any Tylenol. I have to have a sonogram of my liver just to check thing out now. I never gave it a though until then that I was taking Tylenol too often. Doctor suggested that I take Benadryl 25mg to sleep which is the other ingredient in Tylenol PM.

My grandson is 5 and he has used white noise all his little life. My daughter got it at a baby store. You might try some of the consignment shops that sell baby things,,or ebay,,,
Thanks for the tip!

Good information and if it works, I would not question it, I, for one, don't like taking drugs of any kind unless I absolutely have to, so sleeping aids would be something I would want to avoid, I will definitely keep this in mind should I have problems in the future.
Thanks again, Laureen
