I have to admit that I got a chuckle from your post!!  As a 24 yr Navy Wife and going through 2 wks to 6 months at a time without the DH your few days sounds like a good deal to me!!  I tell DH that if he does do right I'll send him back to sea! LOL  I always had trouble sleeping the frist few nights but then it got better except for the phone calls at 2-3 am.  I'd hear a voice that barely spoke English say Coollect a call from Yaasson (Collect call from Jason) and I would sleepily say Yeah and hope it was DH!  I guess I would have accepted the charges no matter who it was at that hour.  Brings back some memories.
You will do fine and be able to catch your breath! LOL

Vera, I applaud the wives (or should I say spouses) of our military It can't be easy.  My BIL worked overseas for 8 - 10 months at a stretch.  The first week or so, my sister had trouble adjusting.  When he would come back, after a month, she was ready to send him packing again.

I WISH it was 36 here in Pittsburgh. That would be a heat wave. These hot flashes of mine are keeping me real warm. Today when I went out in my mini van that the heat sometimes works, I only had a lightweight jacket on. I guess us northerners get immune to the cold. When its around 40 its like summer to us. My cousin lives in Haughton LA and he watches out forecasts and calls and tells me how nice it is down there.
Oh.....you'll do ok without DH. You can just hang out here.

Mary, we're having the coldest temps since last Dec. 2007 right now.  We're actually expecting a freeze tonight.  BRRRR.  Last night I was snuggled up with the electric matress pad cover under me and three blankets on top, thermal underwear and wool socks!
