Results of my doctor's visit

I went to my appointment, for what I thought was an oncologist appointment.  It ends up he also is a hematologist. 
 
Relieved at that. 

Did blood work today.  Results:
 
White blood count
 
3.3, normal is 4.8 to 10.8
 
 
Red blood count
 
37.7, normal is 40 to 50

 
Platelets
 
157, normal is 160
 
 
He is not concerned over any of it.  Red and platelets are just about normal.  The only one low is the white blood count.  He is not really concerned about it, said sometimes people run low.  Return in three months for followup.
 
 
I feel relieved.

I'm not so good with lab results, (Darlene is great) but this made me think of a question. How do these results compare to your routine WLS labs? We RNYers are often out of the normal range.

The specialist wasn't concerned, so I am just tossing out food for thought. It's the worry wart in me.

They should have told you why you were going to him. When you hear oncologist you think the worst.

I am sure they told me, but I probably did not hear it, if you know what I mean.  Also, they gave me his business card and it lists both on it.  Just didn't look.  Heard the word oncologist and looked for the worst.  Trick with that is, now I feel great, knowing it wasn't that.
