I Don't Know WHY I Hold Back . . .

You know -- I read OFF every day.  Often, several times a day.  When I read all of the posts, I  have feelings about them and wish that I could respond.  I don't know WHY I hold back.  I guess I am a pretty quiet and reserved individual most of the time.  During my working career, I often got feedback that people thought I was cold and/or aloof. 

I don't want to be those things.  I want to be warm and to reach out to people.  To connect with people.  To connect with you gals/guys. 

Life is funny.  Jeanie, I think  your post the other day about taking the board back actually brought me out of my shell a little bit.  When I first read it, I was a little miffed.  Now that I think about it, though, I think it was a great post -- at least for me.  It got me off my behind and out there posting away. 

Thanks to all  of you for taking the plunge and putting your thoughts on OFF for all of us to read and contemplate.  And, sometimes to respond to.  I enjoy the interaction on OFF -- even when I'm not actively participating, I am reading and connecting with you emotionally.

AAHH Cindy, you said it so well. I do try and come and read the posts everyday,sometimes frequent stop ins. I don't always respond.....sometimes I feel that what I have to offer has already been said or explained by someone else. But when I see a post with a question and no one has replied I do try and respond.
Effort is what it takes and the giving always comes back with great things received.

BTW, I am so proud of you.  You have been an inspiration to me in so many ways over these last couple of years (how long have you been posting?).  I missed  you while  you were away.  I love your spirit and attitude.

We were making our way around the OH boards about the same time I guess.  I had surgery in July of '04 and had been checking out the info on the different forums before that.

Hi Cindy~Thank you for your post and I hope you continue to do so.  Sometimes it's easier for me to write something than it is to "vocally" interact with people and then other times it's the other way around.  It all depends on the day I guess.  I do not always get to read all the posts or get caught up if I've been away a few days or whatever and I do not generally  post personal things and there's nothing wrong with that either I guess.  I do like people and I love getting to meet new people all the time.  I agree that everyone has their own opinions and I guess I love this OFF site the best.  There can be some vulgarities on the other forums that I do not see is necessary .  I am no prude by any means but certain terms and crude words just don't set well with me and I have the right to say so.  Please continue to post Cindy~~ I am glad you are here.

I agree with you that OFF is the best OH has to offer.  I sometimes check my state board -- but I come here most often.
