Leaving Maui tomorrow for two weeks!!
This morning I saw the visiting plastic surgeon over from Oahu. He looked at my incision and new belly button and said I looked great and that wearing a body shaper was perfect for the next month or as long as I wanted to wear it. He said the scar which is bright red now will fade to a nice white line in awhile. I am so thankful that I didn't have any complications that would keep me from my trip to Calif. tomorrow.
I HOPE to be able to use my son's computer while I'm there so I can report in. My newest grandbaby, Little "Z" (Zane) will be 8 months old, and my other two are Brock (4), and Brady (2). It will be a challenge to keep up with them, but I know I can do it with help from some great day care peeps and my ex husband, brother, etc. I have my "tutu prizes" hidden in my suitcase for "incentives" to good behavior.....meaning quiet while tutu takes a nap! LOL......naw, I think those are a thing of the past at least until I get home.
My little condo is ready for guests......two different sets. Soon I'm having a little light pupu meal for the mother of a friend who will be spending the first week kitty sitting. She's in her 80's and very active.....just returned from a trip to Viet Nam! Then the 2nd week my condo will be used by sisters coming from Washington who have a sister who lives here who is having both breasts removed tomorrow. She has a family history of breast cancer and is showing signs so decided to be preemptive and get rid of both of them. I'm glad I could give the sisters a place to stay...they would not have been able to afford to come otherwise.
So...my friends......life is going to change for the next couple of weeks, and I'm going to miss my life of quiet, peacefulness and beauty. I'll try and come and check in...and I want to know how you all are doing. So many have challenges right now, and I want to be here to lend a little support, a shoulder, a kind word of encouragement. You all have always done that for me....and I love you for it.
Now....aloha nui loa...until you hear from me from Santa Cruz!!
Maui Karen (traveling tutu extraordinaire!!)
I'm afraid to analyze that one! LOL!
Have a safe and happy trip, I'm sure those babies can't wait for Tu-Tu!!!
Karen, there is no reason for me to wish you a happy and content trip because I know that will come just because you are seeing your beautiful grandsons. Know that we will miss you but are happy because we know that you are happy where you are and doing just what you were made to do~love on your boys.
Please jump in when you can and keep us updated on the grandbaby stories that you are going to be full of for the next several weeks. What can be better than seeing you babies? I can't believe that Zane is 8 months old already. It seems like yesterday you were there when he was born.
I am sending you so much love and plenty of big hugs to go with it. Have a wonderful trip!
I am so thankful for WLS and all that that now enables me to do. We've been given a whole new life that includes adventures we could never have dreamed of doing before. Yeah!
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen
I get cold when it gets into the 60's! I am so spoiled...........but I love the image of sitting beside a roaring fire. I do miss that part of living where it's cold. Enjoy!
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen
Oh Karen...your home sounds like perfect bliss! How kind of you to share it and give others the opportunity to enjoy it too.
Have a fabulous time munching on baby cheeks and let us know how youre doing if you can. And when you get worn out, just close your eyes and remember your sweet nest back home. *hugs*
