Home from the Cruise
Well everyone, thanks for all the good wishes. We are now home and DH gained 7 pounds and DD gained 4 - and whooo hooo I am down 3 pounds. Food was fantastic but if I ate too much or too fast I got the foamies. Yeah me..
Loved the weather and also the different islands but wasn't impressed with Holland America. Liked some of the other lines we've used better.

Welcome home Sheri, I am glad that you did so well on the cruise. I am afraid to try it out yet, maybe one day. I wish your cruise line had been better to you. When you pay for something like that you really expect to receive value for your money. I'll keep this in mind if I ever get my DH talked into going on one. He says I've been on 6 Med Cruises and I dont want to do any kind of cruise. (So say a 24 yr sailor) LOL. I keep telling him it would not be like being on an aircraft carrier, but so far he isn't having any of it!!
Congratulations! That's really amazing!
I went on a cruise during Thanksgiving weekend - sort of my "last supper," as I had my RNY on 12/22. I enjoyed the food and can't imagine (yet) how one could go on a cruise and control the eating, but I was miserable over all the things I wanted to do and couldn't because of my weight. I even had to rent an electric scooter to get around as I couldn't walk the distance from one end of the ship to the other.
I'm looking forward to going on another cruise when I reach goal. I'll probably ask for your advice on how to handle not eating everything in sight!

Sure hope you enjoyed your cruise - we had Norwalk virus visit ours... no fun..
I have lost only 50 pounds but it was great - I walked the length of the ship at least twice a day and ate protein first, about every 3 hours and as long as I didn't eat too fast I was great.
Any advice I can give, I will, I love cruising!!
