Annette~~ I sure hope you start feeling better. My nose has been dripping constantly and the aches are back. I thought I was over this cold but lo and behold it must like living in my body cuz it just isn't about to go away. We have snow and it is staying...not melting away. We have 4-5 feet high drifts piled in our yards. I must go and finish getting for church services. Our granddaughter 's Christmas program is this morning, It was postponed in December because of a blizzard. After that, I don't think I'll be doing much else but lie on the sofa and read or nap and drink, drink, drink and try to move this head cold on........and far away!!

Pat,
I'm sure glad we didn't get the snow you did. We just got a dusting and luckily the streets aren't too bad.
I slept at the hospital the last couple nights. This morning a nurse, or should I call her a bull in a china shop, came in. Why do they have to be so loud? Don't they know people are trying to sleep. LOL
I came home to get ready for church. After church, when I get back to the hospital, I'm hoping Brenda will be discharged. One doctor said this morning that her potassium levels had stayed the same for two days, so that's a good sign. She's still having problems with food and doesn't want to eat. I'm forcing her to eat something.
Hope everyone stays warm.
Hugs,
Floyd

Never posted on this thread before but guess theres always a first time! I invited a senior friend over fora homemade chinese dinner. It seems her sister is bored and would like to come if its ok. Then sisters male friend just loves chinese can he come? Both sisters will donate something to dinner. Long story short, Im having 10 senior citizans for dinner tonight and its gonna be blast. All insist on bringing a bit of something to help out and we are gonna have chopping and stirfrying party! We are gonna enjoy our friends company and make some new friends as well. Have a great day everyone.
I've always found those kinds of dinners to be the best. My favorite Thanksgiving was the year my sons and I invited a whole bunch of friends who would othwerwise be spending the day alone, all over for dinner. Ages ranged from 16 (my kid's friends) to 75. Everyone brought something, I did the bird and the mashed potatoes, the teenagers brought their appetites, and there were about 18 of us.
We all played cards or board games for three hours after the clean-up. My kids still talk about it, almost 20 years later. (My older son made a killing at penny poker...won almost $5!)
Have a great day!

Welcome
What a nice thing for you to do and how accommodating you are! You've invited one person for dinner and you're ending up with ten! For some people, that would spell "disaster" but for you it will be a party. Your post really attests to having a very positive attitude.
Again, welcome.
