Hello, lady. OPPS! You must be our Linda, but you sure do look different. But you sound like our beloved Linda so must be here. All kidding aside you look fantastic. Now I know just what you looked like when I talked to you. I pictured you like you were and not as you are now. Now you do. I hope that I am making some sense but I am afraid that I am not. ha ha

It is snowing to beat the band here. I am not sure how much we are suppose to get but it can stop any time now. I am so sick of winter and I hate January so much. It not only brings back bad memories but it is WINTER if you ask me!

Food......that is what I am here for most of the time so let's get down to that!

B: sf oatmeal with mixed berries
S: 2 cheese sticks
L: turkey and cheese
S: fruit
D: chili
S: sf pudding

Have a wonderful day and keep smiling. It makes you feel better and possibly someone else too. I am sending love and hugs to you and keeping you and yours in my prayers. You are so special to me and I get a lot of happiness just having you in my life. Thanks so much for just being the Linda that we love so much.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I hope you are having a great Sunday!

It's snowing to beat the band here today.  It's m B-day (the big 55) and my mom said it was snowing so hard when I was born that my grammy and dad delivered me at home.  I hope we don't have that much!  I'm baking a lemon chiffon cake today but will share it with so many people tomorrow that there will be none left to tempt me!

B - weight control oatmeal
S - 1/2 small bagel w ff creamcheese
L - veggie soup
D - South Beach something - not sure which one
S - yogurt w blackberries picked from my land last summer

Take care and stay warm to all whom that applies.  Thanks again every day for your posts - they really do encourage and inspire.  God Bless You

Well Happy Birthday! I hope every moment is great!!
The posts help us all, they help me for sure. Isolation was part of my compulsive eating, and having to peek my head out it's shell many a day has saved me.
Enjoy your special day!

Whoo hoo...Hot Mama!!!

You are beautiful!!  You inspire me to get back on track.

I've been under the weather for awhile so today will be the same as the past week.   Soup, soup and more soup, water, water, water, maybe a few whole wheat crackers thrown in.The protein is not going down lately so I'm switching to protein shakes for a ew days till things settle down.

I have had this thing since the beginning of December in various stages..
Went to the doctor yesterday, had a chest x-ray.  he doesn't think I have pneumonia, just lots of inflammation and some congestion in my lungs. So yesterday I started 2 new meds. One an inhaled steroid and the other Prednisone.  I do feel some relief this am already.  My daughter is having a get together this afternoon at her house.  Not sure if I am going or not.  I'll see how I am feeling later.  There will be some friends of hers and mine there that I haven't seen for awhile so I really would like to go.  Just depends on how much I am coughing.  I've been through the antibiotics so Dr. didn't think I am contagious or anything just run down and residual effects from the virus and infection in the lungs.

Hugs, Paulette

 Paulette,
WOW  not a fun time for you.  Nothing like a good case of the "crud" to remind you of how vulnerable you are since the surgery.

I'm sorry to hear you are so miserable.  Maybe a short visit with the family and friends but don't over do it.  Sometimes seeing friends has a positive effect on us....  more than meds.

Do take care of yourself.    Millie

PS  putting away the Christmas decorations... I thought of you as I packed the little tray of "cookies" from Hallmark.  I just love them.

Hi Millie,

I too love those fake cookie ornaments, all the pleasure of looking at them and none of the calories going in the mouth...LOL!

DH said he'd drop me off at our daughers and come back and pick me up if I get tired and when I want to come home. That way I don't have to come home in a cold car.  Gotta love that man!

Hugs, Paulette

Paulette,

Feel better soon. The creeping crud sure tends to linger. Don't be surprised if the prednisone gives you a voracious appetite. It does help the lungs though.

Hi Annette,

I hope not......I don't remember that the last time I was on Prednisone but  I wasn't working on my weight either back then.  For the past three days I have had no appetite, still not today either. had half a mini muffin and coffee this am, then 1/2 c soup at lunch no dinner yet, everything seems to aggravate the phlegm (yuk) coughing.  I'm going to try a protein shake now, I was going to do that earlier and jsut forgot about eating.

Thanks &  hugs, Paulette
