I need some ideas from everyone.........

I have the need for some ideas on what to do our Mouthwatering Monday thread on. I am grasping at straws and that is not good. Before you know it I will be doing it on how to fix oatmeal and I am sure that someone has a better idea than that one!

Please just think about it for a bit and I am sure that we can come up with a lot of really good ideas!

So ladies and gentlemen..........start posting away on your good ideas!

that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I'd like to see some breakfast recipes. I'm just starting my 6mo diet and other than scrambled eggs and peanut butter I'm hitting a wall for protein stuff. I know you generally do this of post-op folks but us newbies get in a rut too!

Hi Brenda,
I'd sure like to know how to make a lean, tasty, protein filled chilli.   Or is it just as good to buy a can of chilli & heat it up?  That's about all for me, I like things simple & don't much fancy cooking.

maybe get all the recipe that you can in each foods.then you could call over the 50 board recipes that goes along with the surgery.then after that complete.if anyone want one let them paid for the book.it would be good  coming from this board.it takes time to do it and paper etc.to make one.

have a bless day

I think Darlene gave you a good list.  I would just be repeating what she said.

And breakfast is a good way to start.  (But I love my egg and cheese omelot every day)

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Mornin' Brenda,

I like all the suggestions Darlene posted.  I don't know if it would work but you could try a theme week.  For example -- Mexican for Cinco de Mayo or Irish for St. Patrick's day.  Heck, even "Red things for Valentine's Day".......  Of course, eggs for Easter and such....

You get the idea.....  I do look forward to the recipes even if I don't have one to share each week.

Brenda, I was wondering what happened to the "Mouth watering Monday" post.  Having been away for awhile, I was looking through the last Monday posts and couldn't find it.  Darlene gave some excellent ideas.  The only thing I might be able to add would be sharing tips on techniques/substitutions to make our recipes mor wls friendly.  I've enjoyed reading the recipes submitted so far, even if I haven't participated very often.
