Glad to hear from you.  I haven't been posting regularly but I lurk.  Haven't seen you post for awhile.  Everyone greives at their own pace.  You are right to take one day at a time.  How is LP?  I remember the pictures of him at birth.  He was so tiny.  Hope you hold him soon and he brightens your day.

I had to have Joey put to sleep this morning. The Vet said we kept him going years longer than she expected and it was time.

So now I am going to grab my box of tissues, cuddle with the other furbrats, and cry.

I'm so sorry for your loss Annette- it's amazing how deep into our hearts these pets burrow. Cry from your stomach- that's what my therapist used to tell me when I lost my brother. The sound that came out when I really let loose was frightening, but that is true grief. Don't be scared- let it out.

Thank you so much Julia. I wasn't going to sit at this computer but all the cats have taken turns in my lap. I have cried so hard it feels as if this pouch is going to come out of my mouth. Your hugs feel good.

I'm so sorry to hear about Joey.  Please accept my condolences to you, your hubby, and all the other kitties in your household.  Very difficult to deal with but deal with it you will.  Please pet the other kitties for me.

I am so sorry for the loss of Joey.  I don't have any pets, but maybe this is one reason why, it hurts to lose them.  I just enjoy my little granddogs and one big granddog.

Thank you Connie. I just opened an entire can of catnip and spread it on the living room carpet for them. They are sensing the loss too and the catnip helps. So do your hugs
