My Feelings
Aloha Julia.....I so admire your open honesty about this, Julia. You have spoken about something which I think so many of us have felt .... in one form or another. I plead guilty in not responding ON HERE many times when in my head I'm feeling so much about a person's life's sharing, but selfishly don't put it down on the computer...just tuck it away in my mind /heart. If I responded to every post I was moved by, I would be on the computer all day long....Ha!
I did NOT read your post about cancer.....that one would have made an impact for sure. I can only imagine what it feels like to have that possible diagnosis...and just thinking about it gives me "chicken skin"...(that's goosebumps in Hawaii!). This IS a place where that kind of intimate sharing should be given priority...IMHO. Most of our lives have been touched by cancer in some form....friend, family, co-worker, etc. and it is so scary I think many of us like to pretend it doesn't exist because acknowledging it might bring it to our lives.
Your name has always made me smile...I love Seasheleyes!! Thank you so much for your honesty, and giving us your perspective here. You probably have touched more lives with this post than most of us ever do in here.
With so much aloha,
Maui Karen
