Hi Kathy,
I get out in the sun whenever it shines, even in the winter, via a brisk walk and that seems to hold the blues at bay. . .
As for moving, being that my job involves sitting at a desk, I try to walk around the floor a few times a day, usually when I go for a potty break, I used to cut through the elevator bank, now I walk the whole floor, so that is one thing I do daily; but today is a gym day and I will be headed there straight from the train station, I pack my gym clothes on gym days, change before I leave the office, this way I walk into the gym and get busy, though right now the gym is full of new years resolutioners, if it follows last years pattern, but mid-February, many will fall by the wayside, as I used to do. . . 5/10 minutes warm up via eliptical, treadmill or bicycle, whichever is free, and then onto strength/core exercises for 1/2 hour
, finish up with 45 to 55 minutes of cardio, lately I'm enjoying the Alpine Pass setting on the treadmill, put in your weight, how fast you can safely go (right now that is 4.5 for me), incline (I'm doing a 12) and how many minutes and off you go, makes walking the treadmill more intense and less boring, and it has me running about 3/4 of a mile during the entire workout. Well that's my workout plan.
Have a great day!
Laureen

I got up this morning and went to water aerobics... then after several errands, I managed to get by Curves. When I started Curves, I didn't want to weigh and measure, but finally did in October. Today, I am 23 pounds down and 31 inches smaller.
I plan to walk on my treadmill tonight.
I am sure this seems a bit much to some people, but when I work nights, I don't do very well with exercise and sleeping. So I do what I can, when I can. Tomorrow I will go to water aerobics, then get home and nap for the afternoon so that I can work tomorrow night.
Will check in tomorrow.
