At least I think this is what it is called. My son showed it to me on his computer when he was home. You can zone in on your location and then track your walking or running route. It will tell you how far it is.

I googled it.  There are several styles.  Garmin makes three and Navman makes one.  Some record heart rate others don't.  I just might check this out.  I find pedometers very inaccurate.  I have been slow to enter the high tech world but I love my Garmin in my car.  I love the comfort of knowing that I can't get seriously lost.  I can always tell it "home James" and it will get me there.

I think my daughter got one of these for Christmas.  She said they cost about $150?  I forgot to ask her how she likes it.

Now that's what I need.
