I am not believing what I am seing here

I came here because there was little drama and look what I have done.  Created it.  I can't believe you can not ignore a thread you are not interested in.  I surely don't open every thread here.

If we were to go down to only WLS stuff, I guess the What's New thread must go too.

I am typing this from my hospital bed, but please do not pray for me unless you really want to.  And since my hospital stay right now is not WLS related, I guess any updates on me should not appear.

Balderdash.

I am sorry if you are offended because I am a proud Christian, but it is your loss.
I will be back at a later date with more.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

 George,

My heart goes out to you.  This is not a good time for you to be hearing this.

YOU did not cause the drama.  And YOU didn't start the thread to cause drama either.  It was meant with the best of intentions and we know that.

Rest and take care of yourself.  This will sort itself out.

My thoughts and prayers are for you and your family.

Hi George,

I'm holding a good thought for you.  Hope you feel better soon, Sweetie.

We are all responsible for our own feelings.  We get to choose to ignore a thread or take offense.  What others choose is not under our control, nor should it be.  Let it pass.

Hugs, Linda

George:

Not your fault some people can't respect other people's beliefs and feelings, and ignore what they don't want to read. I'm not overly religious, and I decide not to read your Bible thread, but that's my decision. I defend your right to post what you want to post.

This board is for support and friendship. I have made many friends in the two-plus years I've been on here. It's saved my life and kept me on the right path. I doubt I would have lost all my weight without it.

If I want to pray for you, I will. That's my decision. People ought to respect each other. That's all I ask. I respect other people who don't want to. You take what you want from this board and leave the rest. But respect everyone and be tolerant. That's what's important.

Get well.

HI GEORGE,
I AM PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN AND NOT ASHAMED TO TELL EVERYONE!  YOU HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING WRONG.  IT ALWAYS TAKES ONE APPLE IN THE BARREL TO CAUSE PROBLEMS.  COMMON SENSE, IF SOMEONE DOES NOT WANT TO READ THINGS, SIMPLY IGNORE AND GO TO THE NEXT ITEM.  THAT IS WHAT I DO WHEN I SEE SOMETHING I DO NOT LIKE.  ANYHOW, I TRULY HOPE YOU GET TOO FEELING BETTER AND DO NOT STOP WRITING ABOUT THE LORD, OKAY?  TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS!

George,

All I can say about this is that at least it got your pressure and pulse going ;) and perhaps that is why it happened, albeit, not in the best of ways. . .

We live in the US of A and everyone is entitled to their beliefs and the freedom to express such beliefs.  That is what our country was founded upon and while, I myself, practice spiritual principals, do not have an affiliation or affection for one religion over another, I respect your individual right to do what you feel, as I do the people who are offended about prayers and religious postings.

My personal thought on the matter was more about attaching names to the transgressions of others in pointing out how things have changed, last I looked I was not without some past transgression and therefore have no right to be pointing in the direction of one or another of us on this here board, if I have a personal beef with someone, I can take it to them in a PM, but this is my thoughts on what you are speaking of and each and everyone of us will have their own, as is their right.

Please relax and let it go, you focus now should be on getting well, there are many people here, feathers will be ruffled from time to time, the main thing is we are here to support one another along the path of post-WLS and through the perils of the sort that once sent us to the refrigerator.

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen
