What's New This Tuesday?
Hopefully tomorrow will be a slower day at work. I've arranged with my boss to either go in early or work late so I can take time to go to the hospital during the day. Worst part about that is trying to get a parking spot when I get back. 4000 employees and 3000 parking spots.
Well, I'm headed to bed. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday and thanks again for everyone's positive thoughts and prayers for Brenda. The power of OFF is amazing.
Hugs,
Floyd
The pre-ops are filled with questions and fears. Some are frustrated because the process takes so long. We are honest and share the experiences we have encountered.
When I get home from the meetings each week, I can't get to sleep. The people seem to rejuvinate me with a burst of energy which lasts the entire week.
Many thank me for leading the groups. It does take some of my time and energy, but I receive so much more than I give.
Kisses

Done! Your Ticker:
Hey Floyd,
My agenda today is full. I'm making syllabi for the upcoming semester and getting the research for the chapter for the Big Book ready to synthesize into a meaningful academic discussion. Also, my husband and I are moving my office. It has always occupied the small bedroom, but we have adopted a little kitten and her litter box is in the small bathroom and we decided that we don't want our guest having to suffer with Kitty doing her deed while they are asleep, so I will put my office in that room and put the guests in the small bedroom. I am not going to get my outdoor walk in today because it is misting rain here. Plus, it is so cold and my lungs are not able to process extreme cold air. They process but it hurts. A man is coming today to stack our wood and cut up the tree that was chopped down a few weeks ago and I will help with that; although, I don't have to, but I sure do like playing on the wood pile. And the biggest thing is shopping for new clothes, my clothes that I bought in the fall are now too big and I need a smaller size. For about five months, I stayed at one size and thought this was it, but I went to the doctor for my ulcer's check up and low and behold had dropped a substantial amount of weight. That was why my pants were slidding down. Also, my belt is too big. I refuse to poke a hole in it to make it fit, so I am getting new belts too. Maybe a hipster belt. LOL Have a good day.

floyd remember to take time for yourself at this time...brenda needs you to be healthy when she comes home and needs some TLC....isn't it amazing how those hospitals can have so few places to park? what were they thinking?

I'm so happy Brenda is doing better, Floyd. She has been in my thoughts and I have been worried about both of you.
I wish I could drive myself to the chiropractor. My back has really been bothering me. I wake up every morning with shooting pains in my left foot, like pins and needles, in my heel or toes. I know going to the chiro would help me. Plus, my right hip hurts, and that hurts my right (replacement) knee. I hope this doesn't offend anyone that I'm talking about my aches and pains.
My cleaning lady comes today, so I need to bag up the papers (wish I didn't have to pay for recycling, or I would recycle those). Plus, then the physical therapist comes at 3 p.m. So some visitors at least.
I got an e-mail from a coworker yesterday (Jeff) who said another coworker got a job at Stars & Stripes. She's in her 30s, so her job prospects aren't as limited as mine, in my mid-50s. I looked at a couple job sites yesterday and didn't find a whole lot of promising jobs. One looked good, but it was posted in November, so was no longer available, of course. Oh well.
Talked to Joyce Stewart last night for a long time. She had her knee 'scoped yesterday and is doing well. Seems like I was checking up on a lot of people who were in the hospital or had outpatient procedures. Nan Horten was doing well also. Sounded happy ... but when they removed the kidney stone and you're on painkillers, hey, of course, you're happy.
The sun is peeking in and out here. Doesn't seem to know whether it's going to stay out or go behind the clouds. I want to see if I can take down some of my Christmas stuff with the help of my cleaning lady. It will take me a long time ... she'll have to bring in the boxes and then someone will have to take them back out later.
Well, I don't want to sit here too long today. Hurts the knee too much. Funny, there aren't many position that it feels comfortable in. The chiropractor would help that, but I can't get there, even though he isn't that far away. Wish I could drive!
Well, have a good day.
