Hey Everyone

I can't believe it's 2009  Let's use this New Year to get Back On Track with your exercise  And if you have not been exercising, now the time to start and come here form support, encouragement and accountability

If you go all out and say I am going to work out 6 days a week and pile it on you will burn out fast and quit before 30 days.  Take baby steps, small goals that you can do and feel good about  your self

If you have not been doing anything at all, walk more, take stairs, park far away in parking lots.  Walk the entire mall when shopping.  Small stuff, then slowly increase what you are doing.

If you have been working out, then look to increase your sets and or weights.  Looked to change the intensity and or try new things...  What ever you do, please give it 30 days and I  promise you will love the way you are feeling  Granted it may have days when you are sore    but that is normal...work through it and you will be glad you did!

So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on in and let's get this new year going!!!!

Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for posting this.  I'm getting back on the exercise track this year.  I've been sporadic on the treadmill and walking.  Today I tried the elliptical machine at work to move my flabby arms too.  I'm able to go a little faster but ten minutes found me huffing and puffing.  I'll try another ten minutes after work.

I got in my 30 minutes of tread mill.  The fitness center in this little town is only $35 a month and I am in the process of getting my application in.  I have heard they had an elliptical machine and a rowing machine as well as bicycles so i am looking forward to adding a few 1/2 hours a week of that as well.

I finally did it!!!!! I have been procrastinating since my surgery with a million excuses. Only very sporadic excercise, if you don't count walking and lifting 12 hrs a day on my job.
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and then some abd work.. It felt great. Now I just need to string some of these days together.

I did 1 hour weight training on my upper body today.  I don't think I'm going to be able to raise my arms tomorrow.

Thanks for asking!

Hey Kathy,

I walk about 6 miles a day.  Three on the treadmill and three outside.  Sometimes, when the weather is bad, I do it all on the treadmill--once in the morning and the other in the evenings.
A couple of times a week, my friends and I meet and belly dance.  I am not very good, but I work my hips as much as I can.
