We want our board back!

Hey Paul,

I'm coming to check it out.  I am sort of, hmmm, well, it's that I am....hmmm, well, I cannot take the bornagainers.  REally. 

AMEN, and Im not trying to be a smart _ _ _. Leave the over 50 be like it was. I am a christian but on the other side of the coin...I do appreciate friends saying prayers for me and my family but there are many places online for Bible study....lets support our WLS friends and family. Thanks for the headsup.  Not everyone who agrees with us have posted. Many have messaged me and said they are afraid of the back lash of some of the other members.  Those who are for the prayer meetings/bible study still don't get it.  I wish that enlightenment and equality came like common sense but, unfortuantely, politics and religion bring out the worst in many.

I think we all "get it" lightswitch, it just doesn't bother us as much as it bothers you and some of the others. To each his own.  I go to church every week (almost) but I don't care to participate in the religious activities here. I would, however, like to hear more about your cooking abilities. I might learn something.  

There are many good cooks on this board.  I remember when some of the gals used to post their dishes.  We might need to start doing that again. 

I dropped in over at the other place.  I read a few posts and will go back.  I spent a long time here lurking.  At one time, this was a unique board and we all seemed to get a long.  Then the religious right entered and political right and then a man or two came and made some of the women lose their brains and I mean that.  It's like a man comes along and they are don't give a **** that he is making crude jokes about women, that he is a racists, or that he is rude to other members, he is, after all, a man.  Then more religion and I stopped posting and only visited to watch the train wreck lives of some of the members.  I would shake my head and wonder where was the shame.  Oh well, I will still try and post here and get some of the old timers to do the same, but I am definitely in over there too.
