I too get those "are you sick and/or dieing" comments. Remarks from people about WLS being the easy way out bug me no end.

There have been a couple of problems along the way. Most were inconvenient and easliy resolved.

But I feel good and appreciate WLS every day.

sorry if i offended you my dear...but as i recall there was a time when you were having problems with your daughter taking her son back while on drugs and he went missing...well you didn't seem to be upset over all the prayers going out for him to be found!!!! just doesn't make sense to me at all.....

as for me sleeping around before my divorce....whats that got to do with you??? did i hurt you??? NO!!! as for asking for prayers for my ex husband...he needs them...i never wished him ill in his life!!! my marriage to him had been over years before i ever came to OH!!! just took me some time to get the guts to leave him is all....also i never asked for any prayers for my 1st ex husband!!!!!! he can drop dead for all i care!!!!

you should be ashamed of yourself after all the support we have given you while you were trying to get WLS done!!!! all the prayers that were said for you...shame on you!!!!

Judy, don't pull that shame on me crap with me.   The things that happened between my daughter, my grandson, and me have nothing what so ever to do with this.  I didn't ask for prayers then nor when I was awaiting weight loss surgery.  You have, like I suspected, have missed the point.  The sleeping around, well dear, you put it out here for the world to see and if I believed your christendome, then I'd say to have and to hold until death do us part...and you certainly didn't do that.  I gave you as an example as to why all the religion is uncalled for.  It is hypocritcal and many here don't want to read it or see it.  And really, you have no ideal what these folks do.  You put your personal life out there and they can praise you all they want, but you are the binary opposite to what they, or if they are who they say they are, profess to be.  So, get on your knees dear and if the shoe fits, well, put it on.

I don't read every thing that's posted here.  I choose posts that are of interest to me and ingnore the rest.  I think the religious expressions are meant for those who are interested in such things, not for everyone who looks at this board. Making mountains out of molehills comes to mind when I read some of these comments (because I chose to read them).

This might not apply to you, but if you read the other posts here, it does apply to many of us.  So, if it doesn't apply to you good, but many of us are just tired of religion being brought to this form. It is a wls not church.

Enough is Enough.................Let's knock this crap off once and for all.  I think we get the point............This childishness could go on and on forever.  When I see something that doesn't interest me, I go onto the next post. I am not about to abandon this forum just because I don't like the bickering back and forth.  I will just ignore it.  I was so delighted to find this bunch of people that I had something in common with.  I have read the other forums and they are down right childish sometimes and judgemental and cruel.  I thought I had found the right place to feel comfortable in and I have gotten so much support and information in just the short time I have been a member on OH. This all has been quite disturbing.  I guess I don't get my "feelings" hurt too easily and just blow off some of the things that have been said on here.  After all, we are all humans and probably have made poor judgements and said things that were taken wrong by some fragile people.  Every one has their opinions and I just can't see getting all worked up over whether someone wants to send good wishes and prayers.  BIG DEAL!!   My religion is mine and I'm pretty private about it but am not ashamed of it either.  I do not know alot of the people that are mentioned here, nor do I know you, Jeannie.  I am sure you are a wonderful person and needed to get this off your chest but let's end it, okay?  This has made me just about want to cry.  I hate confrontations and am used to getting along with EVERYBODY.  Must be that I come from a small town in beautiful North Dakota where we love all our neighbors just as I love all my OFF neighbors on Obesity Help. Christians or other beliefs.   what's the big deal?  I 'spose I've offended someone now but give me a break!!!

Sandy, I'm truly happy that you are not bothered by expressions of religion. I and others are and just want some respect here.  If you bothered to read the other comments, you will see that this is something that many others are concerned with and have found to keep them off the board.  Good for you, but, like you said, you are Christain.  Many of us aren't and don't want the propaganda infiltrating our wls board.  And really, you don't call the shots and cannot tell me or anyone else what the **** to do.  Get it.
