I am so sorry that I missed Mouthwatering Monday last week. I was up in Michigan with Eileen and just totally forgot all about it. Please accept my apology and I will work at doing better from now on. I do not promise perfection since I am a imperfect being.

I thought and thought about what to have as the topic for this week. I finally came up with the topic of................

What is your favorite protein drink recipe?

I have been watching and reading and a lot of you are taking in the protein drinks and so I thought that is a subject that we could use. Please share your favorite recipe for the drink. Remember that it is one recipe per person since we will be repeating this one sometime later on down the road.

I picked the subject but I have nothing to share. I am going to be watching this weeks topic with much interest.

So lets us share like good boys and girls and play together nicely.

I send to all ginormous hugs and tons of love...........

I just started drinking protein drinks for the first time the last couple of days.  During my early time, I drank 2 Adkins Advantage drinks a day to give me 22 grams of protein.  I added the rest with eggs and such.

Anyway, this is the way I drink it now:

4 oz OJ
4 oz 2% milk
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 frozen banana
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 scoop of protein (normally calls for full scoop)
6 ice cubes

Blend and drink.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

PROTEIN COFFEE

1 SCOOP PROTEIN POWDER

1 SCOOP SPLENDA(I LIKE SWEET COFFEE)

MIX WELL WITH HOT TAP WATER. THEN ADD ONE CUP OF HOT COFFEE. WITH THE PROTEIN POWDER I USE(OH FRENCH VANILLA) MAKES IT TASTE LIKE COFFEE WITH LOTS OF CREAMER IN IT....HAVE THIS EVERY MORNING.

IF YOU LIKE MORE THAN ONE CUP OF COFFEE YOU COULD DIVIDE THE PROTEIN POWDER MIXTURE BETWEEN ALL CUPS YOU HAVE.

jan does your protein mix well with the ho****er? some brands don't-they get "clumpy".....what's your brand?thx

sometimes i mix the protein in a teensy bit of cold water and stir into the hot beverage-like for hot cocoa....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Mine is more like a protien Blizzard.

1 container Carb Master (Kroger) vanilla yogurt
1 scoop vanilla protien powder
1 ****
SF Orange jello to taste

Blend and enjoy! I think it tastes like a Creamscicle. You can use different flavors of SF Jello for all kinds of combos. The Carb Master Yogurt has 12 grams of protien alone!

Something I used to do with a vanilla protein powder that I got from my doc pre-op was to use SF orange syrup, some ice, put it in a blender; that made a dreamsicle shake. Also, take some vanilla protein powder, add SF root beer soda, with some ice, put it in a blender and get it nice and foamy; it's kind of like a root beer float.
