Alrighty!!

Actually pretty excited about this...

Went shopping.... got fruit cups and sf pudding and popsicles for snacks... got some crystal lite and one of those 64 oz bottles for daily water intake... got my vitamins...

Got some foods that I like, are easily microwavable and very low in calories and sugar to take to work.... those Campbells soups in a cup... vegetable beef and chicken noodle... quick, easy, low in calories...

Got sf creamer for my coffee... gonna try dropping the amount of splenda I put in the coffee.... really, I used a LOT of splenda... way too much I am thinking..

Going to the gym tomorrow...

Uhh.... what else?

Way to go!  Keep up the good attitude about it.

I went to the gym for the seventh time in eight days today.  I hadn't been in about 2 months.  Goal is 3 times a week right now.  I know that isn't much, especially since I am going to do it by going Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  But I will be going.

Today I did 10.25 miles on the recumbent bike.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hi George- Congratulations on all that exercise you are getting! Wow, now that is dedication.  Tomorrow morning I am heading to one of our gyms to check things out.  We have several of these gyms here in town and I'm going to see which is the right one for me.  Our college allows people to walk in their gymnasium walking path too, for FREE!!  Can't beat FREE!!
I feel so darned good that I really want to start a good exercise program but need someone to get me started and tell me which ones are the best for me.  I used to love walking and walked miles and miles before I shattered my knee and put on all the weight. When you're obese and your knees , legs, ankles and feet hurt like he%%, there's no way you can but now with 40 #s gone so far, I think I'm ready to tackle anything.  If I feel this good now, I wonder what it's going to be like when I lose the last 60 #s or so.  LOL
When I watch the TV show, THE BIGGEST LOSER and watch these obese people on those treadmills and running UPHILL, I wonder why they don't just drop over dead.  I know I sure would have.  Maybe I'm speaking too soon and I'll  be dropping over (but not dead) once I get back on the treadmill.
Keep up the good work, George.

Sounds like you are all prepared!

I have been doing good with 30 minutes on tread mill about 5 times a week and have just filled out my application for the little work out place here in the villiage.  Hope to add 3 more 30 minutes worth of exercise a week there.

Getting kind of excited about it.

Hey Marc -  You sound so excited.  That is great!  I'm "rooting" for you, friend.  The name of the game is BE PREPARED and it sounds like yo are on the right track.  It's just as easy to eat healthy foods  as it is "crap" foods.  It just takes a little practice and before long, you'll be so used to eating the "rabbit" food that you'll begin to like it.   I've found that my tastes have really changed and when I look at people eating greasy hamburgers or other grease glop, it really kind of makes me sick now.  I hope that feeling stays....LOL

Good luck to you Marc....Keep up the right attitude and before you know it, you'll be back down to where you were before and loving it!!

Well, what's for breakfast?  Protein bars?  Those Ka****rail Mix bars are good.  140 cal, 6 grms sugar, 6 grms protein,  20 carbs.  Trouble is I always want to eat two of them.  Cottage cheese with fruit or low fat yogurt with fruit is good too.  Best of luck to you this week.  Let us know how it goes. Throw an apple in your pocket. They always fill you up and its something to crunch.

Mark,

I've been using Carnation dry milk in my coffee and tea since early post-op.Has protein that the creamers don't. Its easy to carry a baggie or a small plastic container. I have one of those large "test tube" looking containers from a protein shot that I washed out and put the dry milk in, and keep it in my purse. Not that you would keep one in a purse  When I am out somewhere and get coffee or tea I don't have to use the fake creamers. I also have one of the tubes with SF DiVinci syrup. I can make my own Starbucks type drinks at any coffee place.
I'm a real splenda freak too. I know I use way too much but I guess its better than using sugar. I buy the LARGE bulk bags at Costco.
Good luck at getting back in the swing of things.

What is the deal with cutting down on the Splenda?  Is is bad for you?

I have been using some BSN extra lean dessert whipped vanilla in my coffee.  Makes the coffee taste like cappucino with 20 gr protein per scoop.  Not sure if you like cappucino though.

Using the empty protein shot containers to carry the product in is a great idea.
