Sunday January 4, 2009 What's NEW?
I thought I would get to post in the AM for a change but I ran out of time. I read a lot of posts and then it was time for Sunday School so I had to leave. I have an unusual SS class. My teacher is extremely intelligent and curious. He learned Aramaic for the fun of it and went to Hebrew school as a child. He was not Jewish just had parents that valued cultural knowledge. We do a lot of Bible study where we compare the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek text to the modern day translations. I include Kings James as modern day since it is only 350 years old and Christianity is 2000 yrs old +-. All this to say I was also researching our SS topic and ran out of time to post. I am now sitting in a restaurant reading and posting. I don't like to eat alone and dh is on a business trip. I usually play solitaire while waiting but today I have my lap top and ATT connect card with me. Posting is keeping me away from the chips and salsa while I wait for my fajita's.
Floyd- I hope Brenda is doing better. My prayers are with her and you.
It seems a lot of you are suffering from cold weather. I would say come to Houston where it was 82 degrees yesterday but by the time you got here it might be 30. 30 is very cold when the day before it was 80. We are having a strange fall/winter.
Yesterday I visited the horse training center and will have my first lesson on Tuesday. I will be taking it slow. Can't wait.
