Sunday January 4, 2009 What's NEW?
Good morning Debbie and fellow OFFers. Cold, but what a beautiful blue sky here. Another day of sobriety and feeling so empowered.
We went to Olive Garden last night and it was delicious. I have learned to get the soup and salad and then an appetizer for my main meal. The others left there stuffed and I was nicely full, but comfy. Also did some shopping at WalMart for supplies and found a great pair of walking shorts for 3 bucks. I think I am all set for Disney, except need a pair of new jeans, wish me luck in finding them. Have a great day all.

It's so good to see you posting again.
When I go to Olive Garden, I like to order a full dinner with the soup and salad included. I then eat the soup and salad, and take a few bites of the main course, and bring the rest home. It usually will give me two more meals. It's sometimes cheaper than ordering the soup and salad and an appetizer, separately, and I get a couple of extra restaurant meals at home. I love it.
Except when I forget the "to-go" box on the table. That happens all too often.
Perhaps I should re-think my plan....or improve my memory....?
Congratulations on another great day.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning, Debbie and my other OFFer's. I am praying that everyone has a good day and that Floyd and Brenda are doing well. They hold a special place in my heart.
Yesterday was such a busy day. I went and went and then when I thought I was done I went some more. But the funny thing is I wasn't tired but I sure slept well once I got to sleep. Had some problem with that part. I finally fell asleep after 2 this morning. I hate nights like that. I had my doubts that sleep would come then but it did.
We went to go see the new apartment yesterday morning. We both liked it. I found out that they took the pool out because they were having some problems with the kids in the area. They put in a misting area and I do think both of us would like that much better. The apartment has so much room. Bill and I went through it and just kept comparing it to the one that we have now and really there is no comparison. When I got in the kitchen I said to Bill that we would have 7~yes 7 kitchen drawers. The girl thought that I was nuts since I could tell by her face. She asked me how many I have now and I saw the shock on her face when I told her 1. There is even a locked storage room (nice sized too) right off the patio. That is a nice surprise. I looked in it and told Bill that we could put the Christmas tree in it. He sure got a happy look on his face with that one. We have it in the hall closet now and there sure isn't much room in there. ha ha
Went to Mildred's sons funeral and it was a joyous one. I hope that mine is that joyous. People shared on how he lived his life and what they got from him. It was nice. I am glad that it is over though since I don't usually do funerals. But it sure was cold outside that is for darn sure. I hope when it comes my time it is warmer. At least for the people coming, since it isn't going to matter for me personally. ha ha
Ella and I shared gifts last night. She got me a Mary's Moo Moo that is called "You are an udderly sweet friend". There is a black and white cow and a brown and white cow sharing a plate of cookies. She is the black and white on since she has black hair and I have brownish hair I am the brown one. That is how it usually goes for us when she gives me one. I have a curio cabinet full of them. I just get them from special people or if I buy them myself I get them for the special points in my life. Then she got me double thick throw of none other than Lucy. It is the one of the Vitameatavegiman show. That is one of my favorite ones. But then again I am not sure how I pick my favorite ones since they are all special to me. Eileen told me that I would enjoy chatting with her brother since he is a big fan too. I would like to meet him sometime. When I was up with Eileen and Bill would call she would tell me when she handed me the phone that it was my "leever". He didn't get it but I sure did and we would have a good laugh. As you can tell Bill doesn't share my obsession with Lucy. Dinner with Rick and Ella was wonderful as always. We talked and talked and had a wonderful time. We always do when we get together.
Today is church and the day to take down the tree. I usually always keep it up for Epiphany but not this year. I just couldn't take it for another couple of days. I am getting so sick of it now. I am sure I will be forgiven this year.
Brittany is coming over for a bit after church. Autumn is coming for her after she gets off work which is at 3:30. She wasn't sure when it would be but I told her that is no problem.
It is warmer here this morning. It is raining and I just hope it stays rain. But it sure looks dreary out today.
I got a pack and play from freecycle yesterday afternoon. I got it up to air out and the more I sit here the more I smell urine. It is not good. I am going to wa**** really good and then I hope that the smell goes away. It is in really good shape but I am hoping that I can get the smell out of it. If not is is gone for sure. We are still working on getting the changing table part in there. It is so confusing and looking at the book is even more confusing.
I better go since I have to leave for church in an hour. It takes a lot of time to get this old lady looking presentable. I am sending love and hugs to all along with special prayers. I hope that everyone stays warm and safe and has a wonderful day today.

brenda-put the pack n play outside opened up on your patio-let it get rained and snowed on--
try vinegar on it to clean it or bleach..tho bleach might wreck it......but vinegar does wonders
let it just air out outside and don't worry about the weather for a bit--
if it really doesn't clean up pitch it

Good morning Debbie and all you other OFFers.
Not a bad day yesterday. Worked part time job in the morning. From there I picked up Mary and we went to the gym. That makes 6 times this week. From not going at all for almost 3 months, a bit of an improvement. Going again today.
After the gym we went to the movies. Tale of Deveraux. I watched the inside of my eyelids for the first 30 minutes. I was beat and the movie was boring to me. It's a kids movie. Mary enjoyed it, that is what counts.
Then it was home to do nothing. That was delightful.
Now here I am, up and ready for church. Going to the gym this afternoon and will have to take a nap somewhere along the line, as I have to work overnight tonight.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good Morning folks.........I have a crazy day. Taking down the rest of Christmas decor, laundry, and then at 4:00 I am meeting with two girls who used to babysit with my grand daughter. They have agreed to talk to me and will most likely go to DHS with me to make them (DHS) aware of what happened to them. So......quite an intense day.
Again, I would like to thank all of you for your support. I have another concern......is there anyone out there who was in the Navy? I would like to PM you if possible. Thanks!
