Good Morning OFF! It's almost 5am, where is everyone?
Had a good 2 days of work, haven't been able to keep up with the boards so will go read as soon as I'm done here. Hope all are well!
Family party went well last night! of course I ate too much but today, only liquids for me. Starting the post holiday weight gain removal process! I want to lose about 15 lbs. I'm sure I will too thanks to the handy tools we have!
Yesterday morning, one of the employees came up to me and told me about a kitten running around INSIDE the business center building, it ran in while other employees were coming in. Needless to say, he came home with me and I will put an ad in the paper to see if anyone lost him. (right....can we say drop off?) He is a sweet loving dear of a kitten. If no one claims him, I'll get him fixed and checked out and keep him. He gets along fine with my dogs. I have not introduced him to the feral cats here since I don't know if he has had shots or not, keeping them separate.
For some reason had trouble sleeping last night and have been up since before 4 am!
No big plans for me today, just R & R!

Good morning! It's 3:35 a.m. and I'm awake. I have QVC on the TV and am sitting here with our laptop and thought I'd check OFF.
I read OFF daily and feel a connection to all of you -- even though I rarely post.
We saw our son and his family for Christmas. Our grandchildren are thriving and growing so fast. It was really good to see them. They live three hours away and so we don't see them that often.
My prayers go out to all who need them.
I wish you all the best for 2009.

good morning to all
im finally up not because im sleeping well, just because im staying in bed till around when hubby gets up since i make such a lot of noise with the wheelchair and all now.
my best sleep in on the couch, will take a nap there later for sure.
its cold here this morning but im sure it will warm up a bit later
i hope you find a home for that sweet kitty, i have a big old orange tabby named Cognac and he comes and sits with me every day on the couch

It is cols here this morning---18 below with wind chill in the minus 39s. We got four more inched of snow yesterday. Running out of room to put it all after plowing. This is going to be a long winter.
Brenda and Floyd are in my thoughts. I pray all is going well for them.
I am glad the holidays are over. I was sick most of December qith astmatic broncitis, sinus infection and ear infection. It started off as a cold. One good thing that happened because I got so sick--- I quit smoking for good. I smoked on and off since I started getting ready for this surgery and i always failed--Longest time was a day and a half. I quit at midnight on the 31si and have been smoke free ever since.
I think I have it under control this time.

Wow... January 4th.... 36 years ago today I was a nervous kid who had joined the Army heading to boot camp at Fort Ord California..... funny.... can't remember what I ate yesterday but that day 36 years ago I remember clear as a bell!
Today after church I am heading to the store to get the "right" foods so I can start eating right again Monday.... I think it will be pretty easy at work...since we can't leave and there's nothing available to eat there except what you bring.. night is my problem.. gonna have to really work on that. Thanks for all the suggestions... that's my shopping list!
I went to Sears yesterday to try and spend my Christmas gift card I got... as much as I love tools I don't like Sears tools so I ended up wandering around the store for awhile... I found these socks... they say "steel toe socks" on the label... huh???... so I read the label and find out they are specially padded for men who wear steel toe shoes... so that is what I spent my Christmas gift card on... socks! .... hope they help... that would be cool!
I am going to drink my coffee now and play golf solitaire on Pogo before showering and heading off to church..... have a great day all.

ya know; i can remember the day i went to the draft board with my highschool sweetie so vividly...and so many other things from that time - lifechanging events......hmmmmmm....
your work situation is somewhat like mine with foods-we do have vending machines- all crap except for the bags of pnuts and the machine with juices ...and the coffee is the worst....so i have to carry it all in--and nite time is a prob for me as well- i have found many nites lately i just go to bed at 830!boring but then i am not eating!

Aw, Debbie, you're so sweet to take in the kittie. We love cats, but poor Gary is highly allergic and just can't be around them for long. Besides, our "tank" dog HATES cats, so that is that.
Life is good in our house today. Our San Diego Chargers beat the Colts in overtime last night to advance in the playoffs. We all sat around in our Charger jerseys screaming at the tops of our lungs. The neighbors, all University of AR fans, must have thought we'd gone crazy. It's ok.....don't much care what they think, we were so excited!
Well, I have a weight delimma. I'm not eating my recommended 1440 cals a day and have started to gain as a result. I've been fighting this three pounds for about a month now, so it's time to buckle down and keep my healthy snacks handy. I really dislike having to make myself eat when I'm not hungry, but I refuse to gain weight because I'm not eating enough. Geeze...all my life it was because I was eating too much....now not enough.
Gary cleaned around the house yesterday, so all I have to do today is Saint Bella stuff. Most of our suppliers have been closed for the holidays, so we have to wait now for deliveries this week. Next weekend will be super busy putting the gift bags together to send off to the Miss America pageant. Very exciting stuff there. By the end of the month we should have our website up and running, maybe even sooner. But, with the product going out to Miss America, we have to be able to have them order product if they want.
Ok...time for breakfast. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Prayers to Brenda and Floyd and everyone else who needs 'em!
