Please Keep Brenda in Your Prayers

Last night about 6, Brenda had excruciating stomach pain that would not ease up so I rushed her to the ER about 7.  After doing a CT Scan, they thought she had a bowel obstruction so admitted her at 1:30 this morning.  This morning they could not get a blood pressure reading and when they finally did, it was 79/55.   They immediately transferred her to ICU.    About noon they did an emergency surgery to find out that 3 feet of her bowels had died and were twisted.  Doctor said she was very sick and it was a good thing that we brought her in right away.  She's still in ICU on a ventilator for the rest of the day, and they'll be monitoring her closely for the next 24-48 hours.

Please keep her in your prayers.

If you were up there while we were there, you'd be changing your minds.  So much snow that we were house bound our entire vacation.  Once the weather broke, we got the heck out of there and came home early.  Definately one of our worst holidays.  Anyway, I thought of you when we were close to your mom's.

Oh my goodness! Thisis terrible news, but so glad that you got here there in time! Had she been having troubles before this?
I will request prayer for her at church in the morning,,and Mike and I wil be praying as well. Please keep us informed! What hospital is she in?

Thanks so much.  She hadn't had any troubles until an hour before we rushed her to the hospital.  That's what confused me.  She is at Community North, Room 2260.  Thanks for the prayers, they are working.  Our best to Mike.

Thanks so much.  Thought of you when we passed the Hudsonville sign on the highway.  Wished the weather was better so we could've arranged to see you.  We'll definately plan something for next time.
