Good morning Candy
Don't be intimidated by the GPS. Its the easiest thing in the world. Plug it in your cigarette lighter or whatever power source your car has. The entire owners manual should be about 3 pages long. It is pretty self explanitory. Once you save your home location you can go anywhere and find your way back. Really it is eeeaaassyyy.
Sorry it is so cold . Today is warm here. My arthritis is acting up because the weather can't make up its mind. 68 degrees one day 40 the next....and damp. These 30-40 degree changes every other day is playing havoc with my knees.
I made a bucket list long before the movie ever hit the screen. I called it my 50 things I want to do before I die. I didn't come close to 50 things but I have done some of the easier ones. Things like read a particular book. This year I am tackling some of the more difficult ones. Finally got my vacation account to the point where I could do my number one bucket list item. In April Dh and I are going to the Galapogas Islands off of Equador. The ship only hold 17 people and has 2 naturalist on staff. That is my dream of a lifetime. The 2nd thing I am crossing off my list is to learn French. I bought Rosetta Stone and have started working on that. The third and final thing I am wanting to do this year is to learn to ride a horse. Why....who knows ...it is just something I have always wanted to do. I have an appointment with a woman this afternoon who says she can teach an arthritic 61 year old how to ride. I will be looking at her facilities and horses. She provides the horse and the knowledge. All I have to do is make it up in the saddle and be willing to learn. I think she spends several sessions teaching about the care of the horse and how to prepare it like putting on saddle and riens etc. All things I need to know. So hopefully by the end of the year I will be able to travel to French speaking countries to ride horses and will have interesting things to say about incredible animals found only one place in the world. I am looking forward to 2009.

Yeah, that Brad is a fine specimen isn't he. But I have to disagree with you about Angelina. I try not to get too worked up about what celebs do in their private life, but I honestly don't remember reading about much that Brad did for the community before he was with Angelina. They do a tremendous amount of good with their fame and money. Kind of like Paul Newman. Lordy, that man was gorgeous, but he actually had no control over what he got from the gene pool. What really made him admirable were his charities.
Good luck with your GPS. I'm too chicken to even have one.

Hi Candy and my OFF Family,
I have had a computer crash and it still is not right! I am struggling to get it back to where it should be. My son and his 4 children have been with us since Wed and are leaving in the morning for home. I have been trying to spend as much time as possible with them. I will check in after they leave and get caught up.
Sending up prayers for all in need.
Hugs,

It is late afternoon and I spent the day puttering in my jammies. Our oldest grandaughter, Kari 18, called and wants us to meet the NEW BOYFRIEND. Part of me thought 'what the heck, let Dustin meet the real granny'. Nope, don't want to embarrass Kari, she's a shy girl and would turn all pink. So, I showered, dressed and made myself presentable. Now the only concern is the reaction of her 6'4", overly-protective grandfather. I may have to give him a warning talk to behave.
Candy - I am always cold too. It is not unusual for me to wear 3 or 4 layers of clothes. It has heated all the way up to 23* here today.

hello all..i have been in hallmark movie land again for a few hours-
we went today and picked up another washing machine- this one cost michael $35.00 and works very well-much better than our old one--the one he got from freecycle a few weeks ago is defrosting in the kitchen and i think the pump may be shot from freezing--he was hoping to turn it around for a few dollars to make up for buying this one....ah well....
this morning was a sleep in day again- felt good not to have to rush off anywhere- we had sunshine all day and it was about 25*
went to wally's to return some pants i bought at Christmas and the dollar store for some stuff-mothballs and some other junk...
talked to my mom awhile and played with the dogs...hmmm...i think tomorrow i should actually DO something! well- i did cook breakfast and dinner and washed dishes- and a load of towels...
mom is probably going to sturgis next weekend and i think i may drive over on saturday-alone- and stay with her overnite at gramma's house...not 100% sure but thinking it might be a good idea......if so, pat; i want to bring my mom over to meet you or meet up somewhere -ok? she had surgery at mmpc too....
well-rambling-
hugs and prayers..............

Hey Everyone! I have not disappeared completely. I have had such a busy week. I have had to go to care for my mother twice this week. She was having problems with her oxygen levels. They seem to be okay now. Her regular care provider is back from her holiday vacation as weel. I have also been preparing my house for the baby and for my mother. I expect that she will move in sometime during the spring. Here I go again!
LP is growing so much. He is crawling, trying to walk, eating everything in sight, and babbling constantly. That little boy does my heart so well and helps my healing.
I am hoping and planning for a better 2009. Happy New Year to all of my OH family.
Smooches!!!!
