Saturday Morning...What's New With You???

Good Morning, All

I'm just heading for bed, and realized it was after midnight.  Thought I'd get this thing started.

I just finished watching the movie "Legends of the Fall".  Will I EVER be too old to think that Brad Pitt is gorgeous?  I've loved pretty much everything he's done, including "A River Runs Through It".  Even...yup....you guessed it...."THELMA AND LOUISE!!!!!!" Angelina Jolie is a mistake as far as I'm concerned, but I love his movies.

Lots of projects planned for the weekend.  I need to try to set up the digital picture frame I got for Christmas, as well as get brave enough to open the GPS box.  I have NO idea how to do either, so I tend to keep putting them off.  Eventually I'll do it.  Then I have to pack up Christmas (not much to do there), shorten some slacks ...7 pair (got 'em cheap), finish the woodwork, and make a fleece baby blanket for a shower next week.

That should keep me busy.

Everyone have a great weekend.  And keep WARM!!!!  It was -4 degrees here yesterday.  Heat wave today.  All the way up to 28.

Damn!  I hate being cold all the time...

Morning, Candy

I woke up with a nightmare and found that the cat has taken over more than 1/2 of the bed.  I will probably end up going to the couch in the parlor.

I will go to the farm to meet the new renter today.  We also need to start working on taking down Christmas.  I procrastinated about putting it up and taking it down is even worse!

Got the muncies last night and ended up eating 2 cheese sticks and some almonds.  Felt bloated as I went to bed.  Was not worth it!  When will I learn!!!!!?????

It is in the 40's here in VA which I'm sure to you is a real heat wave, but it chills me to the bone especially when the wind blows.  I get alot colder now that 26 pounds is gone.

Don't work too hard!

Well, I am unable to sleep.  So I have gotten up, had a cup of sugar free hot chocolate, and played mahjong.  Still not sleepy.  So thought I would join in and say hello to everyone.

Candy - the GPS shouldn't be too hard to do - I got one for Christmas and figured it out.  And I am not mechanically inclined and I feel this falls into the mechanical category.  The hardest part was trying to decide where in the car I wanted to put the little stand.   LOL
Can't help you with the digital frame though.

Jeane - the wind has been horrible here too. 

I have to work 1p-1a Saturday and need to get in the bed so I can get up at a decent time and do a few minutes on the treadmill.  I am really trying to get that exercise a priority.  I have a goal in mind for my 6 months post op date and don't know when the scales are going to start moving again.

There's a STAND for the GPS??  I didn't even think about that.  I don't know, was I planning to hold it in my hand?.......

It may be a while before I get up the nerve to open the box......

Candy,
I have 2 GPS one for each Car. In order to put in the address you ave to be smarter than the machine. I have a Navacon and a MIO bot seem to work on the same format. One says the street names and the other one doesnt. I like my MIO better. I dont use it much int he town I live in but I do take it when I am going somewhere else.
Dont leave it in the car hooked up it is a theft  attractor. Unhook it and put it in your purse of the glove box locked up.

Good Morening everyone and Candy,
I still havent been to bed yet. I cant sleep.... I hate nights like this.
I think it is my Thyroid cancer talking to me. I hope I dont have 2 many nights like this.
Not doing to much today Saturday well now anything planned. Just waiting till Monday to see the oncologist to see what my course of action will be.
I watched Lily all day on Friday cause mom wanted a day to her self. That little girl knows every trick in the book in order to not take a nap!!!!!! boy they learn early.
I am watching her tonight too as mom has a date. I know shell be good as I have anew book for her that I will read to her.
AS for being cold Candy I am cold 24/ 7  even in the heat I have a sweat shirt nearby.
Well off to bed to see if I can sleep.

HELLO????  LOUISE?????? HELLOOOOOOO!!!!!!  THELMA HERE!!!!!!!!!!

We're so going to have to quit meeting like this.  I can't believe it's been almost a year (Feb 6) that we started our infamous trek up the coast of California and saw JanS, Peg, Kathi, Debi, and Julia....oh, and how could I forget....your MAN in that quaint little town....you know....the one that flirted with you???  Story of my life, always the bridesmaid....:)  Thelma and Louise zipping down those hills standing on to the side of the cable car with Debi will always be a highlight of my life AND laughing all the way!!!  My Sistah from anutha mutha...... 

We've forgot to plan.... darn us...you put in floors and made a trip to help a friend and I got my arse lifted.   THAT WAS OUR TRAVELING MONEY!!!!  WHAT WERE WE THINKING??????

All is well at this household so far today.  I locked my keys in the car at work and had to call a locksmith.  An hour and $42 later..... I was headed for the ER and got out of there a little before midnight.  Got two bags of water.... and four prescriptions.  Now I'm up 4 lbs... so hit the scale at 157 this morning.... okay, lets do the math here yet again..... I went into the hospital at 160, they lopped off 16 lbs, I got down to 153, back up to 157...... how much would I have GAINED if I hadn't had the surgery and what would I weigh now????  And, what the heck am I doing??  SURELY, I'm NOT putting THAT much weight on?? 

I've not had my head in a hole, I've had my butt on the throne so haven't been around a whole lot and I'm sure everyone is tired of THAT issue. Sorry, girls. Thank goodness it's "fleet"ing....

This is LONG and I apologize....NO, I don't.... I was fibbing.  I'm Ms. Motormouth today, I guess. 

Today is going to $4. Will have to get Joe to pick me up in a minute.  I left my car in the hospital parking lot as son came to pick me up.  Then taking some jeans back to Costco.  Laundry.... and then later this evening.....headed for Winstar Casino to see Tony Bennett.  I think he died years ago and someone stuffed him and put a cd in his back.  He'll be like my Karaoke Santa.

I'm not thrilled with the first TWO days of this year and it best not be indicative of the next 363.

That's MY story today and I'm sticking with it.

Hi Candy and all other offers. even tho the first 3 days of the new year have been beautiful here for winter, up to66 yesterday and suppose to be about that again today. i stay cold as can be all the time....got our under armor bought( new type long handles) yesterday at bass pro. met sister at Joes Crab Shack for lunch .....

Brad Pitt is from our town , Springfield Mo. I know his mom well and have met his brother , who owns a computer business.

when my husband had his horrible wreck in 99 and his face was smashed beyound reconition , they were going to go in and fix it with pieces of metal and screws ets. they ask me to bring a pic of him so they could see it. I took them one but first i gave them a pic of Brad and said , this is him only a little younger lol they didnt think it was funny, dull people lol  i tell him it isnt fair he had a face lift  so now it is my turn ....i have about half the money saved for it....Janet does the place you got your body lift done at do faces?

University of Texas Southwest Medical School Plastic Surgery Residency Program does facelifts. They start in May, I believe.  You need to call them NOW and get an appointment time set. You'll pay less than half.  Dr. Kenkel is the only one I know that has complication insurance. He's the mentor for my surgeon.  I'm quite pleased with mine except that I wish I'd had more done at the time.  I'm not as tight as I'd like to be but he did make it more 'age appropriate'... not bad, just not as ..uh, young as I would have preferred.  I have had no problems with my surgery.  I do know some dr's that have had facelifts at the med school and are quite pleased.
