STAYED UP ALL NIGHT TO START....WHAT'S GNU?
I LOVED reading all your stories - I feel like I'm getting to know each of you already!
I slept okay last night until Bill woke up to go to work at 3:15 this morning and then until he called me at 8:30 am to say he'd be working all day instead of his "normal" part-time at UPS. That was a GOOD thing money-wise, but he's going to be a zombie when he gets in tonight! Ate an egg (yummy!) for breakfast that I cooked with a bit of Pam and then had about 1/2 cup of tortilla soup at McAlister's for lunch. DIdn't much agree with me - perhaps too much fat? Don't know, but it will be a while before I try THAT again!
A little bit about myself ... I'm the executive director for the KFC franchisee association, so my LIFE revolves around fried chicken. How's that for difficult?!! I constantly talk about it, write about it, plan around it. Our convention is coming up in February, so my life right now 24-7 is getting ready for that meeting. I'm actually going to have to miss the tasting next week - for every convention we go to the hotel about a month prior to taste all the banquet food and choose what to serve at the receptions, lunches, final night banquet, etc. This is the first year in 12 years that I'm missing it, but I told them that it just wasn't possible. It's truly a fun part of my job, but there's always next year!
Two of my friends who are KFC franchisees had the RNY surgery and they're doing fabulous, so I know I will, too. They said I can even have a chicken strip later on ... something to look forward to! I'd hate to have to quit KFC cold turkey. BTW, KFC's mashed potatoes and gravy are very low in fat/calories, etc. for anyone who hasn't had them and wants a potato fix!!
Happy Friday!
