Hi all....

I am still trying to work through the actual deal here.... that is, how to set up a regimen I can follow.

I have a 10 minute break at work, then lunch for 30 minutes, then another break (15 minutes) and have access to microwaves and refridgerators.

So...

I think I am OK with the protein... tuna, ham, salmon.... etc... veggies?... need help here... suggestions for some veggies?

I am thinking fruit cups of some sort for snacks... also apples and peanut butter... more suggestions?

Dinner... Protein,  veggies and a little carbs... like rice or pasta?

Let's see.... gotta start with the water somehow... crystal lite seems to taste pretty good... and a multivitamin... what am I missing?

Been reading and reading LIndas posts... but could still use any and all suggestions!

Thanks

Hey Mark, It looks good.  The only thing I would suggest is switch out the rice and pasta for a starchy vegetable like sweet potato or corn.  Rice and pasta have no nutritional value other than taking up room in your pouch.  Good veggies are baby spinach salad with some olive oil and spices for a dressing, olive oil is a good fat too. And maybe an orange or an apple with some peanut butter for some carbs and more good fats.  Fruits are good carbs.  My NUT said to try to make everything that goes in there of value to my body.  The vitamins are good too.  Add  about 1200 mg of calcium citrate  and  your good to go.

Thanks.... you are looking so skinny by the way!
(now if I can get ya to spell my name with a "C" on the end life will be good.. hehehe)

I am not going to do well with salads because I can't find a healthy salad dressing that I can stand to eat... but will keep looking....

What's calciul citrate for?

The term I learned in my culinary nutrition class is:  Nutrient Dense... those are the foods to go for first.  I love risotto and potatoes but have had to switch to yams and sweet potatoes.

Salad toppings with little lettuce are good.  I've been on a kick of zucchini sticks and carrot stick with a Tbl. of diet ranch.

Mark, keeping a protein bar in your pocket might help if you get the need for something quick and your  break is a ways off.

Good luck,  I'm still trying to get my six mini meals in...  I keep dropping (blood sugar) if I don't eat protein & carb on a regular basis.

Thanks Millie...

Haven't had any success with protein bars... they all taste like sawdust baked in honey to me....  or they have so much sugar they almost kill me... any suggestions?

Hey Marc, Sorry about the k, I promise I won't do it again, and thanks for the skinny comment.  Try South Beach Cereal Bars.  I always keep one in my purse.  I like the Peanut Butter one the best.  Give it a try, can't hurt.     Calcium Citrate will keep your manly bones hard.  (Oh my God, I just stepped in it didn't I)
