Linda,

I guess my #1 resolution is to lose the 10 lbs I gained since my big unfill.  And then keep it off.  Easier said than done.  I have an appointment for another fill on Jan. 12th, which should help.

B: oatmeal w/ skim milk & mango
S: iced skinny latte
L: egg salad
S: protein bar
D: beef brisket, carrots
S: SF pudding

Good morning to you, sweet Linda. I am praying that your new year will bring nothing but happiness and good health to you and yours. Know that you are always in my prayers. You mean a lot to me don't ya know!

I am home from Eileen's now. I got home yesterday at 5:15. I did for Eileen what I could do and told her that if anything happened and she needed me again to make sure to call and I will go back to her house in no time and there is no problem. I am afraid that she is going to need me and not call even tho I made her promise. I so enjoyed staying those few days with her. We had a good time and even when we just sat and watched television it was nice being there with her. But boy oh boy the way those people in Michigan drive. But then again they probably said the same thing about this Indiana driver. Especially when I would get in the wrong lane and had no way out which happened a lot of the time! What a experience and to say the least conquering those legal U turns they have there. Once I got the hang of them I like then and wish we had them here.

I am not sure what the food is going to be today. Bill and I are talking of going to dinner and then a movie so what it is going to be is a mystery to me.

B: slim fast low carb shake
S: fruit
L: half a sandwich probably
S: fruit
D: up in the air but alright
S: depends on dinner

I don't like it when those day are like this but I guess we have to go with the flow at times. That is part of life. I have lost about 6 pounds of the 20 I need to before surgery. Like the compulsive person I am I am still aiming for 20 even with this 6 gone. Just think~I lost weight during the holidays. To me that is a miracle. I never thought that I would do this. In another 20 pounds I will be below the goal weight that was set for me. I never in my wildest dreams thought that would ever happen to me. I tired so hard at times to lose weight and never did it and kept it off. That is the key~kept it off. I once lost 90+ pounds but then just gained it back. Oh well~that is the past and this is the start of another successful year for all of us.

I am sending you special love and hugs and know that you and yours are always in my prayers. Have a wonderful day and I hope that work goes well for you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

 Hi Brenda,

I'm so glad you were able to be with Eileen after her surgery.  What a comfort for her and nice for you to be able to go to MI ( even if they are crazy drivers.. lol).

However,  what did I miss?  You wrote:  I don't like it when those day are like this but I guess we have to go with the flow at times. That is part of life. I have lost about 6 pounds of the 20 I need to before surgery.

What surgery?  I didn't know you were going to have one...  for what?  and when?

Glad to see you back online under your name and avatar...

Hey there Miss Linda and other wonderful friends.

NO resolutions?  Me either.  I just want to be the person God made me to be...  and work on that one day at a time..  Resolving daily to do my best.

I had my grandson ( 3 yr ) with me last night.  It was a good night for us... Other than he has not learned the concept of sleeping in...lol  I'll need a nap today.

I start my days out with a protein shake before coffee...  then onto 1 cup of joe then wrestling with the food.  Eating the six small meals is taking some getting use to.

I've started a new carrier with Hypoglycemic friendly foods in case I drop. Too many times I have dropped when running errands.  sigh,  I'll get this right yet.

Have a Fun Frivolous day.....

Sandy - I see that you are not liking your vanilla shake.  Have you tried to add something to it to make it better??  I add a spoon of peanut butter and 1/2 banana to mine some days for the variety.  Or the sugar free syrups from Torani.

If you are like me, you hate to throw away anything if you can find a way to use it.  Do you make pudding?  add some protein powder to the pudding.

Shelia- Yes, I do make pudding but I guess I hadn't thought of adding the "P" powder to that.  Thanks.  It's usually in the mornings and whatever I put in my pouch first thing in the morning, I feel queasy.  That shake this morning was "nasty",  I never had any trouble at all drinking them the two weeks pre-surgery.  I'm finding that my taste buds have definetly changed.  Also, I cannot stand overly sweet things.  When I use Crystal Lite, I have to dilute it with LOTS of water.  Also some of my Nectar protein drinks are way too sweet.  I was told that this may happen and sure enough it has.  The scales haven't moved for about 4 days but I took my measurements a couple of days ago and sure enough~~~~~~~~~a total of 26 inches has disappeared somewhere!!  LOL
Thanks for the heads up on the pudding thing though Shelia.

Hugs,
Sandy
