First Visit to this Forum
Hi everyone, this is my first time on the Over 50 message board and I'm glad i found you! I've been lurking and doing a bit of posting on the RNY board, but I guess I can go to more than one and this one might be more "comfortable". I just discoverede OH about a week ago and I'm already obsessed with checking it every day (or more than once a day!). My husband says I'm trading addictions, but hey, what's better for me - reading and losing, or EATING!?? At a little more than 3 weeks out, I'm determined to DO THINGS RIGHT and I think the boards will help me a lot.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you in the upcoming year ... a good start for 2009!

I'm 2 1/2 yrs out and haven't even looked at the main board in about 2 of those years. It's such a wonderful place here, that the main board can't begin to compare. No snipping or nastiness, just good folk.
Let us know what we can do to help you on your way.

My husband, Bill, tells me all the time that I am obsessed with this place too. In being married to him for 20 years I know that is just his jealousy coming out. Since most of the time he thinks that if he is home from work we need to be hooked together at the hip. Heck the way I think of is that I worked hard for this 112 pound weight loss and so I sure don't need to add another 210 pounds to carry around. ha ha
Again, welcome and feel free to just pop in and chat with us anytime.

What a wonderful welcome from everyone! I feel so blessed to have found you!
Getting ready to sit down to an afternoon of football (GO GEORGIA BULLDOGS!) My husband is an AVID fan - graduated from there - so I have to be one, too, or else!! No big deal - I do like college football. We're also U of L basketball fans, living in Louisville (Crestwood is a suburb) you almost have to be. They really are struggling this year, so it may be a painful season.
Getting ready to try a "new" food to see how I do. One of eggface's recipes for a low-carb tortilla pizza, only with no meat (not ready yet), so I'll use a dab of marinara and some low-fat cheese. Hope it's good!
Oh, by the way, has anyone else become addicted to Food Network? I watch it ALL the time lately!
