3 months and 3 fills

Hi all,

I have been MIA for awhile and wish I hadn't done it!  But I am back after my 3rd fill and ready to forge on forward.  According to the surgeons scales I hadn't lost anything since I was there 3 weeks ago, so he gave me some more saline solution in the band.  So it is back to 2 days of liquids and a day of pureed.  Hopefully the is will be the "sweet spot" as they say and I will eat the right things and right amount.

Hi Jeane,
It's nice to hear from you and I am glad to hear you are working well with Dr. T to get your band adjusted to the sweet spot.  It must be very hard to wait to see the scales moving again but I know they will.  It looks like my surgery will be on January 19 most likely.  I am excited and making lots of "to do" lists to get ready for the big day!

The people in the"bandsters" support group always talk about that hard to find sweet spot. It seems to take a couple of fills to find it for most people. Try not to get discouraged, it will happen. Keep the faith and let us help support you.

I was getting into some bad habits again, so it is not like I was doing what I was supposed to and not loosing weight.  I just have to keep trying to break these old habits.  I know if I do what I am supposed to do it will happen and I am thankful for all of you that help to keep me motivated.

I hope this fill is the one that kick starts your weight loss. It sometimes takes several fills to get there. I have been banded for almost 3 years and I think I have had 5 fills. Most of them was in my first year, I had one small tweak about 6 months ago. You should do fine. Good luck with your weight loss.

I just have to keep on keeping on and not give in to dispair.  I know this is a lifelong process, but I tend to be a Type A personality and like to get things done in a hurry, and am not patient with myself when I fall off the wagon.

This 3rd fill has been much more restrictive.  I am very glad and have lost the Christmas weight plus 1/2 pound!
