FOUND A NEW PROTEIN SHAKE...

when i was in michigan we stopped at the MEIJER'S store there....bought some protein bars and also saw a protein shake there....its made by PURE PROTEIN and it has 35 grams of protein in it. i tried the banana flavor and it was so good!!! it cost $2.49 for a 12 ounce can. NOW i have to find it here in ohio!! i loved it!!! oh yeah it was that good and i will pay that for more...so hopefully i can find it here soon.

just wanted to share this with you...if you tried it already how did you like it? they had a few other flavors also...chocolate, vanilla and banana...not sure what the other one was...but if they taste as good as the banana one did i am all for it!!! could be just what i need to get that extra boost of protein in me!!!

I eat the pure protein bars but have not seen the shakes.   I'll have to go look at our Meijer's and see if they carry it.

I order from Vitacost.com.  I have found them in banana, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla at Vitamin Shoppe as well.  Trader Joe carries vanilla and chocolate in two "strengths," 21 grams of protein and 35 grams. 

I tried the vitacost house brand as well, in choc and vanilla only.  I just checked the fridge, here's the info.  Vanilla:35 grams of protein has 4 grams of sugar, 160 calories.  The main ingredient is skim milk.  I can't tell you the numbers on the chocolate, looks like it's time to reorder.

Walmart and Meijer carry the protein bars, I haven't looked for them on line.  The different flavors vary in calories, keep on reading the labels.

I just have to remember to use the protein bars or drinks as meals, not as candy bars .... .   But I LIKE candy bars!  Or at least I used to.

i love the pure protein bars and also have to remember at times its a meal not a candy bar...lol i just tried the banana shake and loved it so much!! wish i would have bought more but then what happens if i hated it?? i would be stuck with yucky tasting shakes i wouldn't drink...so have to go shopping tomorrow and see if i can find them here in ohio....

i havent tried the pure protein drinks but maybe i will sent DH to look for them .  i could use an extra protein boost now while im healing from my car accident.  im trying so hard to keep up my protein levels, but the bottom line is that im not all that hungry and since going to the bathroom is a project i find myself cutting back on liquids.  today i had an atkins drink for lunch, they are good too and i keep them on hand all the time.  i also eat the pure protein bars as a meal replacement or evening snack.  they are tasty

hi jacki...hope you are getting better now from that accident!!! i can understnd it being difficult going potty...but you need to keep your liquids going or you will get dehydrated and will need to get iv in hospital if that happens. hope you can find this shake because it is good tasting!!! and has lots of protein in it too!!!

Judy, they also have cookies n cream too. I haven't tried them recently. I tried them when I was early out and thought they were too sweet. I will have to try them again. Thanks, Teresa
