Oh goody! Didn't know if package would arrive before Christmas or not with the weather. One of my things I ordered for the twins arrived on Friday but they were still here. It was my pleasure as it helped me remember the true spirit of the holidays.

Karen...Nic got the package on the 23rd. He was so excited but he said he wanted to open it on Christmas so he put it under the tree. You picked out the best gifts...for Gracie too.

You are loved!!!

Was reading everyones postings, as I usually do, and decided it was time to get back into the loop here. I used to post often,,then just got out of the habit and started lurking.

Our Christmas was wonderful, we had several different family dinners, with different members each time. All my kids were here except  one , so we had a great time. I got lots of nice things, kitchen gadgets which I love, clothes, perfume, electronic gadgets, scrapbooking supplies. All the stuff I really enjoy. And we got a new car too, that was from both of us to both of us,,,LOL.

I already took the tree down and rearranged the living room. Im wanting to sew but wont let myself if the house is not tidy. Same thing with scrapbooking.

I have gained a few pounds, due to so many Christmas parties and dinners and making all the wrong choices,,but the junk food is gone now and Im back on track. The hardest part is drinking the water,,gotta get back into that! Ill master it though. And I gotta get back to walking, so since the weather is nasty Ill dig out my Leslie Sansone dvds and walk in the house. Gotta start somewhere! At least Ill be moving.

Great to see so many new faces on here, and some old friends as well. Keep posting everyone,,,you all are inspirations!

Blessings
Betsy

Betsy, I'm right there with you wanting to sew, wanting to get back on track. Our snow is gone, but yesterday was windy and cold. I plan to take down the tree tomorrow and get my living space back! I still need to find a swivel rocker recliner for the great room and a new box spring and mattress. Then I think we're done spending money for a while. Our new home is feeling pretty cozy and we have already created some wonderful memories here having had our kids and their families with us. I know I'm not drinking nearly enough water either. In the summer I have no trouble but winter is another story.

Hi Margaret and my OFF family:

Sorry I've been missing ... been in a lot of pain because of the spinal headaches, plus yesterday I had a migraine all day and didn't have my migraine meds. But the headaches have lifted and I feel normal again. Now the only pain is south ... knee, back, the usual locales. The doctor said it took a week to get the spinal headaches away, so it's been a week since surgery. I feel so much better.

Brenda has been here since Saturday night, adjusting to Michigan left turns and life on the golf course. It has been windy and rainy ... today it's just windy. She is out discovering the joys of Meijer, doing some shopping for me. I'm sure she would say "hi" to all of you. I am so fortunate she is here helping me out. She is doing so much more than my own "real" sister would ever do for me.

Well, I need to get my leg elevated again. I have been sitting here too long (a half hour, but that's too long) and my knee is starting to hurt. I don't imagine I'll spend a lot of time on the computer, so if you want to visit, call me.

Love y'all.

Good afternoon Margaret and everyone.....

I am finally home. I had a great Christmas with my family in Iowa and then St. Paul!!! Saturday and part of Sunday I was in Albert Lea with Dwayne and his children. After all that we had to stop in St. Paul on the way through the Twin Cities.  I left had my laptop computer at my daughters on Chrismas. I needed it for today.

I have so much computer catching up to do with work, family and friends. It will be days before I get done!!

Hope everone had a great Christmas. Like I said mine was.... but.... it was so hectic. I am glad to be back home once again!

My new car is running great. It is good to not have to worry about car problems. At least there better not be any!!

Prayers to all in need. Eileen and Carla I hope you are feeling better. Jean please be careful!

Prayers, love, and hugs to all.......connie d

Hi all,

Late in the day, but since I can't  seem post in the am or throughout the day anymore, I thought I'd try now.  Busy with laundry and cleaning house this am.  Yesterday I got my sewing/craft room all straightened out and set up the way I want it. I have some projects that need attention, I need to finish them before I start anything new. Much more conducive to working in there now and it's next to the play room so when the girls are here I can be in there and within earshot. They seem to be getting into each others hair more now. LOL! Oh well next  week back to school, then they will miss each other and play together better in the evening for their mom.

We had a nice afternoon with the girls. Took them to see Marley & Me. We all loved it.  It was an expensive day at the movies but worth it.

Earl is having surgery on his left thumb and wrist on Jan 13th.  Seems the RA has totally destroyed the joints in his thumbs. They will remove the joint and replace it with part of a tendon from his forearm and clean out scar tissue from his carpal tunnel surgery, remove the synovial tissue around the nerve and cover the nerve with a synthetic material so scar tissue doesn't reform again. After 3 months and if all went well they will repeat the same process on his right thumb and wrist.

Hope you all had a wonderful day.
Hugs, Paulette
