What Legacy Will You Leave Your Children?

A thread was started a few days ago about what legacy our parents left us....and it's a marvelous thread indeed!    I would like to start this thread....about the legacy we hope to leave our children.

It is my wish that my children  find happiness, fulfillment and value in their lives.  That they have the desire to live a life centered around the principles of integrity, humility, honesty and empowerment.   That they remember that what is of the utmost importance in life  is spiritual fullfillment, famly, friends and health.

It is my hope  that my children see in me the characteristics of being a compassionate, ambitious, caring and principle centered human being.   I do see these characteristics in them already.

It is my hope that my children recognize their own strengths and become people who are articulate, hard working, insightful, adaptable, spiritual and trustworthy.    And that they will be humbled by acknowledging that they can also be selfish, obsessive and impulsive and strive to transform their weaknesses into personal strengths.

It is my hope that my children remember me as a woman who loved them uncondtionally and laughed with them every day of their lives.  I hope they remember my work eithic and my unwavering belief in God.   And I hope that they remember how very proud I am of them and how I consider myself so  very blessed to be their mother.

thanks
I guess this isn't as popular a topic as what legacy our parents left us. But it is a topic that we should be thinking about!
