I'm an early riser and it's about 5:25am here in Philadelphia. I have been Off Track with my eating and the holidays, but today is a new day. I hope to be able to get in some light exercise today. We had an ice storm on Tuesday and when I went out to put down some salt I felt down by back stairs. I substained a mild concussion, a sprained neck and some bruising. I didn't break any bones or black out, but I did break my glasses. I wasn't going to go to the hosipital, but my head was hurting so much (I live alone) I figured I better be safe than sorry. I didn't want to lie down and not wake up. Feeling much better today, no headaches and my neck feels better also; taking Tylenol every 4 hrs.
I'm going to try some light weight strength training with my 5 pounders and ride my ellpitical trainer stationary bike for about 45 minutes. Get in some washing, and then it's off to work at 12:30P, don't know how Linda does it having to get ready to get to work so early. I work late afternoon 5pm - 1:30am or 10P - 7am.
Hope everyone has a good day, I'm sure going to try.

Hope all are doing well, and I will try to check in now and again.
Well, I don't know why but these 5 days off seem to FLY let me tell you! They go faster then just a regular weekend off that goes fast enough!
I plan to cook the extra turkey today then get it divded up for son and I. Still have TONS of leftovers to eat up. I think I will be making up food dishes and freezing them for later. Yum!
I went shopping yesterday, got a bunch of stuff from office depot all on sale as this location is closing. Too bad, it is a new store too. Then went to Office Max, Michaels, Clothes Mentor (upscale - resale shop) and got some clothes. A bit disgusted with myself there, but have plans firmly in place to begin January 4. (having a family party here Jan 3 then will start anew on Sunday the 4th. First Sunday of the New Year!) I did find a few things, not exactly what I wanted but a few. I want to go no larger then a size 12, and actually want to be a size 10 pants like I was 2 years ago. Tops are another story. 12-14 will have to work for them, I don't like tight tops and have way too much of flappy arms etc, Good visual for this Sunday eh?
Then stopped at JoAnn's. I no longer need any yarn for about 10 years. Why do I do that? I used up Christmas money from parents, $ my son paid me for his share of gifts we gave to family and several gift cards. Oh yeah, stopped at Bath and Body works too. Good Sale! S now I am stocked up and will never die because I have way too much stuff, er junk, er crap er crafts to get done! I did start a shawl for myself for work. I get cold mostly around the shoulders and arms, this will be easy on and easy off for the power surges that happen too! That's my life. Boring as usual! Have a great day all!

Debbie,
I'm having withdrawals. We drove past Embassy Suites last night and I always get the
Christmas is over for me....had the family thing yesterday. I had too much caffeine in hot tea, got a ferocious headache and heart palpitations, okay, okay.... probably not entirely.. my tummy was messed up about six times before I got to my sisters and I was freezing to death and she had the a/c on. I curled up in the chair after we opened gifts and slept until everyone was ready to leave @ 7. I missed lunch AND dinner. Didn't play any games with the kids. Came home and went to bed. Apparently, I'm starting the day the same way today. I'm hungry but not sure I want to put anything in my stomach. Definitely not going to $4 this morning, I don't think. Too much to do around here.
I gave Mike a ticket to see Tony Bennett on January 3.... (I have the other one). We must have been on the same wave-length because he gave me a ticket to one of the plays at the Majestic Theatre...and he has the other one.
I've not worked since Wednesday so I might try to get online today and see what I can clean up before tomorrow for work. That's the tough part, being able to access from home. I can be at work 24/7.
Have you gotten those little orange carry out bags from Home Depot? They are 99 cents and I bought one for everybody in my family. They are sure handy.
I gave everyone a Farkle game I made... a ziploc bag, six dice, a pen, and two sheets of scorepad..... I'm never without mine. In fact, Mike and I put a napkin in the middle of our table at a restaurant and play while we're waiting for our food... mind you, it's not a five-star here... it's the breakfast place down the road. I made five extra sets to give out at Starbucks. We play there constantly.
I'm still tipping the scale at 153 even after lopping off 16 lbs. I have love handles that are getting more noticeable. I'm going to talk to Dr. about lipo'ing them out. I'm having nerve endings that are trying to reconnect.... I've electricity running through my body... so I know they are reconnecting. I can get in size 10 stretchy jeans and zip them but I can't move in them... and some 12's are not comfortable. I guess I just need to learn to love me...
Enough. Glad you had a good Christmas and all of our OFF Sistahs are now well and healthy after surgeries.

This morning I have a play date with Matthew and Melanie. After that we are going to visit the 3 teenage grands, then in the opposite direction to see the 10 year old grand. I will overflow with

Good morning, ya'll. It's 65 here already this morning. But tonight we are supposed to get a 'cold snap'. Down to 38 overnight. I am SOOO happy we have no snow!
Nearly all of our Christmas left overs are gone. Hooray! It helps to have teenagers helping with that! About the only thing left are desserts! THESE teenagers would rather eat the meat and potatoes - and even the vegetables! I still make too many desserts because that is what I always enjoyed the most. They don't taste as good to me anymore, and I wind up throwing out a lot of them. The boys will always eat up all the oreo cookie dessert, though!
It will be another quiet Sunday here. My Momma will make her usual call at 10 AM. Kids will be over at some point for Sunday morning BLT's at Grandma's. A little TV, a little computer, some reading. I love retirement!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
