Jean, Be strong! Get the help you need. Thank God your husband was there. Protect yourself and your Mom, no matter what it takes! I doubt if changing your number would help. In this day and age, I'm sure he could find it somehow. And perhaps if he found that form of communication 'cut off', he might try to get closer.
We are ALWAYS here! Lean on us. Lean on your husband. Talk to whomever you need to talk to. Be strong!

If counseling can help, do it. It certainly can't hurt. Keep thinking at least it's only a phone call. The phone offers you distance.
Keep expressing the thoughts so you get them out of your system. The stress of this can be overwhelming.

Hi Jean, sweetie, you're in my thoughts and prayers for your safety and emotional stability. I've nothing to add to what's been said. However, would it be possible to have his number permanently blocked from your incoming calls? My cell phone is my primary phone, and if I get an unexpected call from a number not in my cell directory, I let it go to voice mail. That's a good method for me to 'screen' calls. Just my two cents....may God hold you and your mother in His hand and only allow you to go through what He will bring you out from. I know there are many, many prayers being said for you. Much love and many compassionate hugs! Patti (I've been incredibly busy now that I've been able to get out and about post-surgery, and the last thing I want to do is sit at the computer like I did those six weeks being home-bound!
