hi to all my friends here on OFF

go****s so good im home from the hospital and a few days in rehab.

im a mess with a shattered right ankle and knee injury to my already replaced right knee but im here and alive.

i will have to sit here on my butt for about 8-12 weeks before they can do any intensive rehab to my foot and knee, and i will prob need to see a plastic surgeon as well cause i have skin loss where the kneecap was injured. oh fun!!  maybe they can use some of my belly fat to fix it, ha ha, that would be cool.

thank you all SO MUCH for the lovely responses to the message Bob posted for me while i was in the hospital.  all your love gave me my christmas joy, trust me on that.

wishing you all a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy 2009

hugs, jacki

Jacki....So good to hear that you are home and mending.  I have been thinking of you ever since Bob posted.  When did this happen?  Just so glad to know you are alive.
Keep us posted on how you are doing, OFF friend.

Wow Jacki, I saw a headline about an auto accident, but didn't read the message.  Glad you are home now, but sounds like you got banged up pretty badly.  Gosh that's too bad. I'm sorry that this happened to you.  Of course we all know it could have been MUCH worse, but it's hard to look at it that way in the throes of the event itself.  Take care!

You must feel miserable...  ( stating the obvious ).   Take good care of  yourself.   Sounds like you will have a lot of reading, TV, sitting around time.    Keep us posted and up to date.

Aloha Jacki......Wow....I am so sorry to hear about your auto accident. I must have missed it before. I guess it's best to be thankful that you are alive and healing, but it sure is hard to go through the whole process when you aren't expecting to be incapacitated for awhile! With scheduled surgery, we get ready mentally for a long recuperation...but with something sudden like an auto accident, it must be a whole different way of making sense of your situation.

I'm glad you got a lot of support from the OFF.......and please come in often and share your recovery with us.

Good luck!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Jacki, I am so glad that you are home and doing better, even if it just just being home. I know that I always feel better when I am home. It feels better even being miserable at home than somewhere else. Oh well.....I am messing this up something royal so I will stop with that one for now. I trust that you understand what is in my mind and what I am meaning to say. ha ha

My prayers continue to be with you and your safe and quick recovery. Please post often so we will know how things are going with you. Even if all you feel like posting is that you are still alive and feeling a bit better or such.

Keep looking at things positive and the time will go by quickly. Remember that we love you and are there with you especially when the time gets hard.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Jacki, I cannot fathom how you must feel having cheated the grim reaper!  You're in my thoughts and prayers for complete recovery.  Winter's a good time to be home-bound for any duration.  All the best to you hon!  Lots of love and hugs, Patti
