Update on eileen

I just spoke to Eileen, she is doing better today.  The doctor apologized to her, said that some of her ligaments were stretched and her knee was out of alignment.  Could have happened when she fell or at some time before that, even possible it wasn't right soon after the first surgery. He also removed the posterior cruciate ligament(?).  She was nauseous again this morning after breakfast but held her lunch down fine.  I haven't heard anything about Carla
 I left a message for her husband.

ps lost the first post so I'm trying again.....

I talked to Eileen on the phone mid-afternoon and she sounded pretty good.  She's still using the pain pump, but has been up for some PT already......has had some nausea, and her breakfast didn't stay down....it was an omlette and it was very dry, that could be the reason.
Anyway she seems in good spirits, said she dozes a lot, and tried to read a book and read the same paragraph about a half dozen times then gave up.  She did watch
the Bears game on TV last evening.

Thank you for keeping us posted.  What a wonderful network of friends here on OFF.  I am a newbie but am getting to know more and more of each of you and you are becoming very important to me.  I wish the best for Carla and Eileen and
God Speed to both of them and to all of my OFF friends who might be experiencing phyical or emotional pain now at Christmas time and in the future.

I 'm sorry I've been kinda MIA lately, lots going on here, been sick and have been very down about my friend passing at thanksgiving.  But I did want you to know that I am praying daily for Nic and your family.

Glad to know there was something the doctor could do to try to improve her situation.  Here's hoping she's pain free very very soon.
