On the 5th day of Christmas,my mind said to me,Christmas is coming,carols I started humming,and I became filled with serenity!
B-Scrambled eggs with Cheese L- Split pea soup with a little diced Ham D- Chinese Chicken and veggies S- Apple with peanut butter.

I like your little song!! We've been "dumped" or "blessed" with alot of snow lately. It's -9 right now and blowing.
Very, very white outside. My son is home from school and loving it. He's outside right now snoblowing our sidewalk..he's doing the whole block as a special gift to our neighbors. It's too cold for some of the older homeowners to come outside to shovel.

So far Linda, my menu has been just for me....I've made my son spaghetti yesterday, french toast using homemade bread today and he bought several frozen meals he likes. He's slow to trying new things so he prefers his own yogurt etc. He's in grad school and will be married next June. It's nice having him home for 2wks. Not sure if he's coming home for Easter but he will be out for the summer early May.
My main concern about his wedding is my dress...I probably won't be able to buy one till very near his wedding so I get an accurate size. I'll look around and narrow my search then start trying them on a few months out...can always take them in.

Hi there sweetie. I hope that your Sunday is a great one.
I need to get in the shower to get ready for church but Bill is in there now. He told me yesterday that he is coming to church with me today. I never let him know that I was surprised. I am finally getting what I have wanted for 20 years~for us to go to church as a family. God does answer our prayers in His time and not always ours.
Food today is going to be simple. Nothing fancy that is for darn sure. I am still going to get some shopping done and then rest for the evening. I am tired and want to rest.
I want to go back to bed since it is warm. It is -4 degrees here this morning and tomorrow isn't going to be any better. It is just cold and there is no other word for it.
B: slim fast low carb shake (it is fast)
L: ham and cheese roll ups
S: fruit
D: not sure on this one but veggies to go with it
S: sf pudding

God has put a man in my life and I do not know what to do with him. I like being alone,but he checks on me everyday,and was going to pick me up from work even on his day off! Somehow he manages to have me on his manifest everyday.
I am praying,because men can mean a lot of trouble,I am so set in my ways,it is hard to let someone in,but we shall see.

Bill going to church with you is like a special Christmas gift from God. It warms my heart to hear he is going with you. I too had many years of going to church alone and I know that "holding my breath" feeling when it comes time for church.. is he/ is he not going... lol
Last night we had our forecasted winter storm. It is sooo beautiful out. I'm content to stay in today but... this is the day chosen for our family Christmas Dinner before my son leaves for Iraq ... the two weeks have gone by fast and the cold weather has kept me from getting out to their place to see them more.
My youngest son will follow me out to their home to make sure I make it ok.... they live on a small mountain top just outside Mt Rainier park. Stunning scenery... best viewed in the summer... lol lol winding, hill road is not good for travel. I have all wheel drive etc so I should be ok.
Food, well, he is doing a crown roast ! ! that is his gift to us. Most everyone is watching what they eat so foods will be healthy. I did make a huckleberry pie.. Oh, it is picture perfect too.

snack... veggies

I got a weird phone call at about 10:30 last night (woke me out of a sound sleep) from Lana, the woman my crazy brother describes his his "girlfriend". Not surprisingly, her take on their relationship is a little different than his. He moved to Dallas to be near her last January and apparently has been making her life a nightmare ever since. "Do you think he's dangerous?" she asked.
"Uh, yeah," I said. I told her to get a restraining order. It was an interesting conversation, but I hope she doesn't call back again. I hadn't heard from my brother, or about my brother, for 5 months or so and I sure don't need him back in my life now.

L: chicken-shiitake cake, spinach salad

D: Korean-style beef ribs, mashed rutabaga

Good Morning Linda my very special friend!!
I am so full of love and having such a great time.
The only bummer has been that my transmission in my car is slipping in drive....UGH!! My SIL changed the transmission fluid and put in a new filter. He thought that would help....NOT!! I may be buying a new car tomorrow!!!
My meals are great but not sure what the day holds. I know we are having salmon tonight.
